Sergey Titov came under pressure yesterday when The War Z launched on Steam, but it was marred by misleading information:
About the Game
The War Z is a Survival Horror MMO that immerses players in a zombie-infested, post-apcalyptic world in which a viral outbreak has decimated the human population leaving in its wake, a nightmare of epic proportion.

Play with Friends: Hundreds of Servers to Play on and soon you will be able to create Public or Private Servers allocating spots for Friends or Clans. (no private servers and clans cost money to setup).
Two modes of Play: Normal and Hardcore
Combination of First-Person and Third Person Perspectives
Meld of PVE (Player versus Environment) and PVP (Player versus Player)
Safe Settlements where Players can Purchase, Sell and Store items as well a post notes for other players
Up to 100 Players per Game Server (not so, maximum is set to 50).
It's also cheaper on Steam than it is to buy from the official website.

But then Sergey goes on to blame the community for mis-reading this info:
As you all know we launched the game on Steam yesterday. Okay - we're number one top grossing game on Steam right now - thank you guys for your support.

At the same time it was clear that there were a number of customers that felt that information about the game was presented in a way that could have allowed for multiple interpretations.

We've taken steps to correct this and format information presented on our Steam Store page in a way so it provides more clear information about game features that are present in the Foundation Release and what to expect in the coming weeks.

We also want to extend our apologies to all players who misread infromation about game features.

At the end of the day our goal is to serve our players as best as we can, and we love when you guys steer us into the right way of doing it !

Thank you for playing The War Z !

not forgetting that legitimate players are getting banned to make them buy another copy of the game! Plus hacking is so rampant it give Day Z a good name.

Looks like it's all over for War Z, there's no way can they stop this bad publicity train now.

Kotaku have just run a massive piece on all the stupidity and negativity spewing forth from the developers:

Pretty good read if I do say so myself, even if most of it was mentioned on this forum weeks ago :)
