It's a midnight release tonight Pud. 13/11/12
Chris is getting it for sure. I'd get it but... no blu-ray drive means I can't. I have heard a rumour that it's launching on PSN too, (I doubt it because of game-sharing), but if it does I will get it.
I love the wager matches and off-line training.

I have been a bit of a Wolbat and pre-ordered it;
Even tho i am not a fan of them, i enjoy them more than BF at the moment.
Think BF have gone too heavy
While COD still feels light.
we will see when it gets here tomorrow.

Black ops 2 has an install this time too, to prevent wear and tear on the blu-ray drive: 1.8GB

I do agree with you though Dave, Battlefield has tried to copy CoD's arcade pick up and play feel, and completely lost touch with what made it great in the first place.
BFBC1 = Awesomeness on a massive scale.
BFBC2 = Great step forward, but the maps were pants compared to BFBC1
BF3 = tries too hard, some good maps, but overall not as good as either of the previous two games.
CoD = New graphics, new sounds, new skins, but it's still the exact same game as it's always been (since CoD 4 at least).
You just know what you're going to get with Call of Duty. Not as good as BFBC1 but better than all the Battlefield games since.
Just my opinion, and I'll always favour BFBC 1 over anything on the PS3.

You hit the nail on the head Daz.
Exactly what i was thinking in my head.
All BF needed was a reskin and the destruction of buildings is a nice touch.
I dont think i needed anything more.
COD is always the same, Some new weapons, Skins, Maps.
Just the small maps and perks i dont like about cod.
Make them full size and loose the perks you may end up with BF again
seen on FB you where considering getting it. Is it available on PSN? or still rumored?

It's highly unlikely to be on PSN for another 10 months.
I did read somewhere though that PSN's unbelievably stupid pricing of new games was getting an overhaul, and that overhaul begins with Black Ops 2. I cannot remember or find the source, but from what I do recall it's an official source, so either Sony or Mp1st.

Colour me stupid, but I bought it.
I didn't go for the PS3 version... no blu-ray drive, there's no point in getting the Xbox version as I have no mic and no friends on xbox.
So I got it for the PC. At least I get true 1080p graphics, 60fps and the ability to screenshot and record thanks to fraps.
And it's the same price as Xbox and PS3.... and I don't have to go and get it, it's coming to me via Steam.

If I had a working blu-ray it'd be no contest, I'd have got the PS3 version without a doubt.theENIGMATRON wrote:Nice one,

About fucking time - one of the factors that drove me to trade the last CoD I bought (MW2 I think) was the horrendous noise of the constantly streaming BR drive...Dazbobaby wrote:Black ops 2 has an install this time too, to prevent wear and tear on the blu-ray drive: 1.8GB

I was gonna buy this one, because I like the look of the pseudo-RTS mode. I didn't even realise it was releasing now... Marketing fail, or have I just not got my finger on the pulse anymore?
I will probably get it in the near future, but right now XCOM, Dark Souls and Borderlands 2 are consuming what little time I have. I'll hate CoD online coming to it late, but meh

Well I can safely say that the online sucks. Treyarch moved away from rented servers to hosted servers to control hacking. Offline the botmatches are excellent, you can now play all the game modes and not just TDM, plus all the unlocks are open and available for testing.
But go online and there's graphics lag and I drop to less than 10fps sometimes, but against bots offline it's a smooth 60fps. There's also input lag, and you know when you're pc is accessing the HDD and the IRQ pauses everything else for a split second? Well playing online feels like that, but it's constant.
