Friday the 9th of November I go back to the opticians for testing and fitting of contact lenses. I've never tried them before because I have severe astigmatism that makes my lenses too thick to use. Every time I blink it would push the lens down and possibly around my eyeball.

But recent improvements in contact lens technology means even I can now wear them!

I've worn glasses for 38 years and I'm excited to finally try contacts.
But I have a phobia of anything going near my eyes.

When I was a kid I had terrible hayfever, and it took 4 blokes to pin me down to put in eyedrops FFS.

Ah well, I guess I'll see soon enough if I can do it on my own.

Thanks Seddon, I'm not really expecting miracles, I know my astigmatism is really bad, so I can only hope that technology has improved enough that I can wear contacts.

If not, back to glasses.

I can wear them but i like my glasses to much, they almost feel aprt of me.. like when you can't seem to find them and you realise you are already wearing them.. Lol.

I used to wear some white iris ones make all your eyes white, looked cool... but that was back in the day 10 year ago now..

I wouldn't bother with them personally, but that's just me... I have a phobia of them slipping around the back and severing the optic nerve :ymsick:
