I want to start this topic by asking 1 thought provoking question.

As this is the first week, I'll shoot first, so to speak.
Question 1.
Are ghosts real?

No poll, just answer as you feel.

I believe in physics, and one of it's basic principles is conservation of energy. There is an awful lot of energy in the human brain, but when you die there is no sudden release (via either light or sound), so where does that energy go?

I don't believe in interactive ghosts, but I believe in energy stamps. Especially if someone dies unexpectedly or seething with an emotion.

Nope. But lets compare this to a battery. If it gets used normal way the energy drains completely and the battery is dead. But if you were to break it, where does the energy go? It turns into a battery ghost that will haunt you FOREVER!

But if ghosts are real, are there other possibilities, like demons, angels, imps, and poltergeists?

I guess there's a lot of strange phenomena out there, some explained, some unexplained, maybe ghost come into the unexplained category simply because we dont have the science explain them yet.
Science has done a lot at dispelling myths and the like, and maybe this is one area where science still needs to catch up to superstition.

But for now, yes I believe in ghosts.

At the moment no, i believe that there are many things that science cant explaint at the moment, we may be able to in the future, but i dont believe in the existence of ghosts without cold hard facts.

any EM readings? temperature variances? ive never seen a scientist try to check it out properly. when in lincoln on the ghost walk i heard some fascinating stories but never once did i get a weird feeling walking about. we even went to the most haunted street in lincoln where phones are supposed to go mad and pictures dont show up properly.....

ghosts must not be compatible with android phones then i saw nowt.

I have done an ouija board so i have no doubt what happened to me was real.

We also have had funny things happen in the house prior to this, such as shoes being put in the middle of the room, a ghostly old lookin figure in the spare room and voices.

Infact this past wednesday my dad was taking a nap and he said he felt someone put hands on him, after this he came down stairs and told us.
On top of this, my dad has heard an old lady voice saying "daaaaave", "daaaaaaave" in like a really spooky voice.

Also i have seen shadows in the mirror, my mum thought i was seeing my own shadow, i said what in the pitch black?

Also when i did an ouija board the blinds all moved like a gush of wind came in or something, (windows closed) and the budgie went bonkers.

ALso years ago, my mum n dad heard thier friends dog barking in the garden, - the weird thing is the dog died the night before.
SO yes.. i do believe in something, it's hard to say what because i haven't seen anything as in a physical form, it's always noises, actions, corner of the eye.

I also forgot to mention that a few years back when i was about 16ish, i saw this bloke, but i could never focus on his face, he always used to stand in the park near our house, he did this for quite a long time, we had cctv at one point, he never showed up on the camera, also when our neighbour died, we never saw it again, it's like he was waiting for this death.
The weird thing is though...recently (bout 6 months ago) i had a psychic reading and the psychic mentioned this bloke with "no face" wanted to say thankyou for "keeping" quiet?

Am with you 100% on your theory.
And i relate to this alot when a star dies, there is soo much energy, and no where to go, Hence a Super Nova.

So i do believe in a form of spirit / energy being released.

But no i dont believe in a form on Ghost that is capable to communicating and interacting with objects.

A Human cannot talk, walk, or move without a brain....
Yet these so called Ghosts dont require such a thing

Anyway, There is no proof..... because these things are transparent..... But people can see them, and we cannot take pictures? or they make them-self visible when they like lol

Ill go with the Theory, its your brain playing tricks on you.
In the dark, you can picture anything you want if you think hard enough, you can become in a Hallucinating state.
You can hear things, feel things, see things,
Think about it hard enough.

Am not slandering peoples experiences, As i am sure they have had them before, a good friend of mine has told me many story's of her experiences.
I have my reasons to not believe in them.
And am sure if there is ways of contacting people, or making them self notable or something, then am sure my uncle would of done so after he passed away, as i had this debate with him many times before.
