Took some hunting down, but i found it,
This was on the School PC's :p

There was Skyroads, a 3d Racing game, Doom, and the good old Skiiing game :p

Actually it just hit me how much difference this 8 bit music makes especially if you have start over and over.

Bloody hell dave i remember that! it came on a shareware floppy (remember those) with a magazine called EasyPC that my mum bought for me! haha

it was a pretty good game!

my first DOS game i played was doom 2 on a friends computer but the fist i owned outright was DESCENT

First I owned out right was C&C - man, that was a sweet random purchase. I was expecting/hoping for turn based strategy...

I had Descent 2 - that was the nuts. And also, Tie Fighter. Oh yeah.

Descent 2 was excellent especially with a good 3D card like a Voodoo 2.
Tie fighter was ok, I never got into Star Wars games.

My first *cough* DOS game was Dune 2, and that set a fire under my ass for FPS games. I also hacked that to high heaven, it was severly limited by memory constraints, so I hacked it to have a massive amount of units and spice!

I think Dune 1 was an adventure, I'm not entirely sure because I never played it.
