Well i hate zombie games in general but people are banging on how great this game will be?
Is it going to be good?

You can do missions/free roam etc, on a tropical island.

I have decided to buy it and see... if this zombie game turns out to be shit, it will be the last zombie related thing i will ever look at lol

People only bang about the game because the trailer is a real work of art. I bet the game will be your average zombie crap.

The review I read said it's kind of like Fallout 3 with zombies. Rough around the edges but a lot to see/do and some nice mechanics. I can't be arsed with it...zombies are the gayness enemies out there. I don't get the current fad with them.

Well according to the order u get this dlc and a t shirt worth 19.99 but on the receipt it says "t shirt STOPPED" so they must of give a £20 ps code as a alternative? perhaps.. not sure though..

Where do you go on ShopTo for this? I had a text from them yesterday saying to "login to ShopTo to confirm my chainsword and book". So I log in and nada. I typed it in the search box and it comes up for £0.01 but unavailable...

EDIT: nevermind. Duh.

EDIT 2: Actually, I'm still lost. I had an email saying to confirm a code or they'll re-use it, yet there is no code - only dispatch confirmation... It might help if I knew whether these items were physical or DLC I suppose... I'm guessing physical. I hope the chainsword uses petrol instead of batteries. Electric motors just don't have the bite I'll need.

Still don't know what it's for really, but I'll be damned if someone else is going to have it.

Play can fuck right off - ShopTo for pre-orders now. I do still use Play and Amazon for random things like books, films, games they have on sale (got Mini Ninjas off Amazon for < £10 yesterday).

But ShopTo often deliver early = win. I'm hoping Space Marine is at home right now... Their site is pretty messy though.

yeah if they took away alot of the graphics and colour scheme it would look alright, as it stands it's not great.

Dead Island..

I've played a few hours and the game is alright i suppose, already tried the drop in drop out co-op a few times, this one guy was just racing around the roads squsihing zombies in the road with his truck.

It was funny to watch.

However, the game for me is not going to keep me entertained for more than maybe 1 hour or so a day - it felt repetative straight away, you culd argue alot of games are repeatative but i dunno lol, it's kill zombies, go here kill zombies, get this for me and kill zombies, goto the gas station to collect me fuel and.. kill zombies..

Graphically it's not great really - far cry 2 perhaps on the enviroments but the actual zombies/people/npcs etc are a bit rough round the edges.

controls are pretty decent though and very responsive.

could be a laugh with a few mates i reckon though.

Funny you mentioned Far Cry 2 actually - I was already thinking about a reply along those lines before you even mentioned it. But it does sound like Far Cry 2 with African guys replaced by zombies.

a issue i have come across is stuttering a bit, played it last night tilll gone 4am, loading from the disc is causing it.

Mind u enjoyed going on the rampage with a military mechete and cutting heads n arms off, then stamping on the zombie heads.. fun for a bit

bought it today, bit repetitive i have to admit.....but i havent got my hands on any sort of gun yet.

Pretty decent that the zombies get harder to kill as you progress aswell mind

yet to try out the co op aswell
