Anyone getting?
search youtube for "skyrim quakecon gameplay" since they keep removing them u need to search.

Looks good, the fighting animations still look a little dated though, stiff looking.. but overall looks alright.. i'll be getting it anyway.

Before that though... bf3 and before that dark souls.. so yeah tis all good. :ymhiro:

Hmmm I dunno. On paper (i.e. preview sites) this looks awesome. Especially as it has dragons in it. But there are two things that make me very cagey:

1) I played Oblivion because that also looked good on paper, but I stopped after about 6 hours or so (not in one session lol) because there was no progression of equipment and the combat was really dull. If it had a Demon's Souls type combat model and fed you incrementally better equipment through loot drops instead of allowing you to get the best stuff really quickly it could be the best game ever.

2) Fallout New Vegas is horrendous for crashing, so I don't hold much hope for Skyrim to run without problems. I appreciate the difficulty of developing games with such large scope, but it seems their code base is going downhill over various releases (Oblivion => Fallout => New Vegas) rather than improving.

Still, it's got no MP so I can always pick it up cheap one day if it turns out all right (after 20 patches).

been watching some videos looks alright, the combat looks quite good overall i thought aswell, not as good as demons/dark souls combat but looks ok nonetheless.

I might pick it up...the enviroments look stunning for a ps3 version, quite impressive.

I think i'll pick this up to tie me up till saints row 3 at least :D

Fuck that man - get stuck into Mass Effect 2 if you're looking for a stop-gap. Pud and I can vouch for that being shit hot, but I stand by my reservations above as far as Skyrim goes. Plus, ME3 in March with co-op...

But you know - it's your time/money :)

LOL, Skyrim is getting a day one patch. For a non-multiplayer game. Not a good start...
When The Elder Scrolls V is released a day one patch will be made available. This news comes via a NeoGAF thread where Bethesda community manager Nick Breckon confirmed all platforms will be updated on November 11.

As for what exactly the update fixes, Breckon responded, "There'll be notes when the time comes."

absolutlely loving it so far.
map is fucking huge, shit loads to do, story missions are varied and dont feel repititive, character customisation is cool...loads of different armours and things you can forge, dragon fights are just fucking mint.

fair enough, combat isnt as slick as say dark souls etc.....but it really doesnt bother me for some reason. and it occasionally suffers from a little bit of frame rate drop, but again the map is huge and detailed so its kind of expected.

never really played a game like this, so its something fresh for me and from the way its going.....possible game of the year imo! :)

I hope my psn+ gamesave works or else i'll be gutted.

It seems the game is plagued by the same problems as new vegas

doesn't look like it's just me then, not an isolated incident.

Here is a video of my problems...
You can see how nothing works.... savefile is bigger now 7.4mb and i stole 2 items which was a piece of cheese and a skull and that added 1mb lol!!!!
You can also see how i don't get arrested for stealing and how woodcuting doesn;t work, or how no npc will interact as intended.. annoying.....i want to play this game but i don't want to start again.
Lagging and stuttering aswell :|
If they fix it in a patch cool i'll stop moaning, if they don't then i'll just have to move on, shame because i do want to play it really.

It's deffo a gamesave filesize issue, reading forums and anyone over 5.3mb starts getting lag and game becomes unstable and jerky... then eventually similar things happen to what i have.
People under 5mb seem to be absolutely fine. :-t

Sy, you tried turning auto-save off? It might be too late now, but I bet it's not clever enough to cope with an auto-save triggering before it's finished saving. Plus you don't really want to thrash your HD with a 5+mb file every minute or so...

Please tell me you keep multiple saves on an RPG? So you can go back to one that isn't broken...

if i were you sy i'd just start a fresh game man, stick to the core missions then play side quests later (what ive done).

the game is worth a proper play through regardless of the mess its clearly made on your game man.

i know you tried a few npcs and quests, but have you tried the core quest which your currently undertaking??
occasionally you cant interact with anything else in the world until you have completed particular objectives......only happened about 2 times though.
