I like it, more than i thought I would. I got used to the "motion Sickness", and it's not a problem anymore, but the controller lag is driving me nuts. So is the lack of ammo when you spawn.
I'd love to see the engine being put to use in a mordern urban combat, such as cod 4.
Oh, and the tin box is

I have mixed results.
Lag.
Green name above guy when its an enemy.
bit jerky.
still not used to the inertia.
beginners guns are fucking shite and cant wait to power up.
Maps are amazing.
Atmosphere is intense.
Mics are clear as hell. (Daz, you sound so young, you are no way 30 odd years old) (Symon - same goes)
Campaign is almost as good as playing a movie. Shit hot production -
The wait was worth it.
Ps3 kicks Arse.

BEEPLEFIELD 3 - it is all about locks, unlocks and small cocks!
The players with green names were almost certainly bots, they have any rank.codayop wrote:I have mixed results.

They seemed to get a lot tougher the higher the rank you get.
Nice tune KK. Now hurry up and get that bathroom done.

The green name changed to red either just before or just after they attacked me. very confusing.
red dot on radar - green name.

The first thing I did was try an offline game against bots, and at one point the game changed to the mode were you have to capture that propaganda thing. I was chasing an AI that had it, and there was what I though was a team mate next to him. But the "team mate" was shooting at me, not the enemy. So I opened up on him, and as soon as I did, he reverted to an enemy. So I'm thinking there is a feature like in Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory where Spec Ops (or whatever) can steal an enemy uniform and essentially take on that appearance until they are shot...codayop wrote:The green name changed to red either just before or just after they attacked me. very confusing.

But I have to say, the offline campaign set a bad first impression for me. That opening level where you have to walk miles to learn how to move in a FPS is terrible. Coupled with the terrible NPC animations and path scripting, not to mention the fact that the NPCs got stuck when the man and woman chat. The woman was just looping her dialogue animation after the dialogue had finished. I strongly believe in a good opening scene, and KZ2 doesn't provide that.
Also, the controls are exactly the fucking same as the demo. The intertia I guess I'll get used to, but there is not enough speed reduction in aim mode, which means I basically have to make a choice between being able to aim, or being able to look around when not aiming. I can't have both. So I've settled on an unhappy compromise where it's slightly tankish while moving, and a bit too jittery when aiming to hit anything at range.
Also, the game doesn't prioritise reload over aim. So instead of like most other FPSs I can smoothly go from aim to reload, in KZ2 I have to spam the reload button while the un-aim animation plays. Very annoying.
And I use Alt2 controls, which makes aiming out of cover a no-no. I may get to grips with that eventually. But also, the majority of the "cover" I've encountered so far still allows your head to be shot anyway, so is there any point?

The engineer class rocks, one shot kill with the shot gun, and the sentry bots are excellent if placed correctly.
I'm still not sure about the controls though. This might be a deal breaker for me.

I've done what others have said, wind the sensitivity to full, play for a bit, bring it back down, and it's actually easier to play.
it's the weight I dont like, I know it's meant to be realistic, but it's a game, why bother?

I'm begining to get used to it, not that we should have too, the controls are wrong, simple as that.
I've also realised the biggest problem is with the shotgun, it's got a poor range, and if you dont hit the first time everytime, it'll only end it tears.
Also, with the standard guns, DONT USE THE ZOOM unless it's at medium to long range, if you dont use it, and you shoot someone, it kind of feels like it's locked on and you can hit them at virtually any distance without having to adjust your aim.

Well, like a prick, I've been playing all weekend but at pH1974's house, ranking him up instead of me - so I've got it all to do again. Granted its only 250 points but its a bummer nevertheless.
Loving this game.
Loving it so much I cream my pants every time I play it.
Up till 2 last night half sleeping half playing - So surprised I didn't have red eyeball nightmares!
The inertia is still the only down side IF you could call it that. - Its just something different to adapt to.
In between bouts of KZ2 we slotted BFBC in for a few...My brain took about 4 rounds to a) remember the fucking controls, b) remember how to play the game. But once I was in the swing we were racking up points around 500 every match - which is quite good in my opinion. (for me)
Cannot believe the detail in the maps. Its pristine.
Looking forward to gaining different classes/skills.
Excited about what will come later from GG. New maps (not that I want any yet as I'm still in awe) new types of games - and maybe (this isn't even a rumour but it would be nice) MECH levels, how fucking cool would that be.
Oh, OK - I've just remembered one thing I dont like - The jittering about when you see people walk/run. Its a tad jumpy and not in keeping with the smoothness of everything else.
Loving the Shotgun, but granted, its no NS2000.
Loving the rocket launcher - fucking PETCHOWWW _ BOOM!
Ambassador, we've been spoilt.

yeah, agreed, Far too easy - but perfect for a laugh. I still piss myself every time I plant 3 x C4 on a crate and take 2 guys out who are trying to defuse bomb AND get 10 points for target damage AND THEN 30 points for the crate itself. Fun fucking E.
