It finally arrived this morning, and just a few minutes later I sat watching it.
It's as good as I rememer from the cinema, and the 3D is still excellent.
Another bonus was a selection of trailers from other Disney movies, including Pirates of the Caribbean 4 and Cars 2, both also in 3D, and they looked amazing too.
One sad fact that I did take from my viewing... 3D games will not look anywhere near as good until 1080p 3D gaming becomes standard, and that wont be until the PS4. The problem with games is the crosstalk or shadowing, this is when one eye see's part of the image from the opposing eye:
Example - very exagerated, but very present in MotorStorm Apocalypse
This is more of an issue at lower resolutions than higher ones, and is definately only present on Active Displays, lenticular TV's dont suffer the same problem, or if they do, to no where near the same amount.
Thats not to say that ALL 3D games have this problem, flight Control HD and Super StarDust HD display beautifuly. But other games such as GT:5, MotorStorm, and to a lesser extent Wipeout HD can be almost heartbreaking to see in 3D once you get over the initial WOW factor.
