Maths Time......

(Am not interested in the Stats on the game i was passing some time with some guys in work, and got talking about Black Ops)

Yesterday when i was playing i noticed there was a total of

1,800 years Online.

So brains come to mind, how many plays in a mean average does that make?

How many Hours per year? 8765 (not including the decimal figure)

8765 * 1,800 = 15777000 Hours Online

Devide this by a Mean average of lets say 12 Hours per person

15777000 / 12 = 1314750 Players

So a total of 1314750 People have spent 12 hours online..

How accurate is that? Have i worked it out incorrectly

sorry what is the 1800 for?

edit.. oh..

right k.
so 1800 years on line.. wow fuck knows lol.

i reckon each person spends about 4 hours online.
there has to be more than 1,314,750 players online because if you look at games playlists, approx 770,000 play team deathmatch, 400,000 playing domination , 500,000 playing search n destroy and and 200,000, 100,000 playing other modes.

I don't know if cod says 1800 years online then your sums must be right.

Yer i did go over and out on the 12 hours per person,

I am quite high in rank like 22 or w/e and ill be surprised if i have hit 6 hours.

So that would easily double it. And i have just worked on a Mean Average on what time i think each person has spent playing

So its not strictly near.
One person could of spent 1 hour another could of spent 48 hours.

Just me being bored....

MCV can reveal that new Call of Duty beats previous record holder Modern Warfare 2 by 22 per cent

Call of Duty: Black Ops has sold an incredible 1.4m units over just one day in the UK, UKIE/GfK Chart-Track told MCV.

That’s £58m in revenue.

It marks the biggest day one performance of any game, comfortably beating last year’s Modern Warfare 2 by 14 per cent in units and 22 per cent in revenue.

Last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 shifted 1.23m units during the same period, generating £47.7m in revenue.

Yesterday, Activision announced Call of Duty: Black Ops had become the biggest entertainment launch of all time across the UK and US, selling 5.6m units and generating $360m across both countries.

Activision told MCV before that it believed it could outperform Modern Warfare 2 because of an increased install base of Xbox 360 and PS3, as well as Wii and DS vesions that didn't exist for Modern Warfare 2.
That makes Daves figures damn near spot on.
