When Chris sits next to me, we take it in turns to play rounds.
So when Chris plays, I keep telling him what to do, what I've seen and what he needs to be aware of. (Drives him up the wall). :D

he's just playing Harvest Day attacking, and doing so badly I want to scream at him.
But I also asked if he's aware of his surroundings? Visually and audibly.
And no he's not, basically all he see's is whats on front of him.
He's just done a short run from his main base, up the road on the left, at the far side of the river, and completly misses a sniper and a demo guy. I saw them in the peripheral vision for a 10th of a second, if that. And I knew it was a sniper, as for the other guy, I was'nt too sure until I made Chris turn and look.
He's not aware of his team, not aware of what they are shooting at/being shot from, not aware of sounds all around him.

So tell me, what are you aware of?

I can see tiny details and movement - sometime the movement are jagged lines off in the distance, but I still see them and am very aware that they could be the enemy. I can often see in windows as I drive a tank and wonder if that is the sniper that locking on me.
And I hear sound effects to both my left and my right, and even behind me (thanks to 5.1 sound).

am pretty aware of everything around me.

2 things that anoy me.

When i see something move in a distance i pay too much attention to it. Head in that direction ready to kill. And most time its a glitch in the tree wood work.

The other one is when i am being shot at directly 50% of the time i know where it coming from.

But the other 50% i realy struggle to hear and see where there shooting from results in me dieing by the same person too many times.

How close does he sit to the tv....

Sounds silly but me and sy got speaking of it. I used to play on me enigma7802 account lieing on me bed. And when i compair it to now i fucking sucked.

Now i sit about and arm lenth maybe a bit more from the tv. I see every detail close and far away and most games i come out top.
I have noticed a massive difference sitting alot closer to the tv

I was playing ascension cq yesterday. Ran into a house with a flag, killed support, started capturing the flag, so I thought why not mortar myself in case someone is around. Changed the kit, took out the thingy, started aiming at the floor. A sniper walks in, I'm thinking to myself, you idiot, go hide I'm going to unleash hell from above in a second. He walks upstairs, I continue charging, he takes his knife out and knifes me. Yep, was the enemy sniper. I felt like a complete noob tbh.

I was chasing u with my knife for ages!!! i just couldn't quite catch up to you.

LOL!

I got shot to, so i would of lit up like a xmas tree on the minimap.

Anyways! I'm pretty aware, i even have feelings people are behind me - i always look to see lol.
I find it hard to see snipers on the bushier maps..but in general i notice alot.

Now i have the surround all setup i hear footsteps really good from which ever direction they are coming from lol..

But in general i am well aware of me surrounds, people should listen to bullets and enemys going "patch yourself up" giving away postions aswell :)

I’m very aware of my surroundings, and it is the basic technique of survival to any game.

Audibly speaking, a surround sound system is an essential part of survival. You know where the bullets are coming from and also have an idea of how far the gunner or what type of caliber are they using. Also helpful if someone is trying to sneak from your behind.

Visually speaking, you have to be mindful of the game status (upper left corner) and the mini-map (lower left corner). You have to constantly look both in the game status and the mini-map in real time. This is very useful if you are tracking down a particular knifer (enemy). The technique is, if one of those small blue light disappear on your mini-map then one of your teammates was killed by that particular enemy. In doing so, you will know who killed your teammates, knows what weapon was used and knows the location of the killer. Then if that’s the killer on you’re hunting list, you can devise a plan on how to approach him undetected and take his dogtag (sweet :D ). Since I play specialist, the only disadvantage was the zoom-in (aiming) of my gun which is very limited. What I do is try to put myself on the enemy’s perspective and anticipate his moves.

Battlefield awareness is a must for survival, strategy, tactics and of course hunting techniques. :)

You've got to take into consideration that the killer can change class at any time if he's just taken one of your team out.
Only thing you can be sure of from watching a team mate go down is that a bad guy is around.

Yeah, but at least the probability of him to comeback on that position whatever kit he chooses is more likely. In other words you already have a picture of his killing pattern. :)
