i had the first ms which i liked, the only thing that really annoyed me about it was the time the cars took to load when viewing what vehicles to drive

it's an enormous improvement over the first. Dont forget, monument valley was also one of the very first games out for the ps3, and if you get PR, you'll notice the difference.
Faster loading, better graphics, smoother visuals, better gameplay, improved network code.
So yes, if you liked the first one, you'll love this.

Just be prepared to be annoyed to hell and back if you want all the offline golds (or even silvers). They've changed the vehicle select to 2D sprites now, so there is virtually no loading for it.
Online is massively improved, and the ranking system is way better.
If you liked the first this a definite purchase, especially if you favour online.

have a look at that for some screenshots, it's amazing. It really is an incredible difference to Monument Valley, which was good too.
