We have read many ideas for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, some about the weapons and others about the game type's in multiplayer. One of the best ideas we would like to see is a hostage online game.

You could save your hostages from the other team before they get killed or something along those lines. Maybe even have the hostages have the option to try and escape from their captors.

Another great idea in COD 6: is to have the lobby for the Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 updated, especially on the PS3. When you go to find match it would be good to have it setup like this:

Find Match - Countries - Core/Hardcore - Game Modes

Playlists for different countries or regions should be added because people would rather be playing against people from their own country and have a good connection, other than being thrown into a random match with people from another country and have a bad connection.

Sounds like a brilliant idea.

i want more control over the games i join

warhawk as old as it is has the best online lobby

host a game, map selection, dedicated servers, ranked, unranked etc

i was never a great fan of the cod4 matchmaking system

i hope iw learned from cod4 and the online issues it had - it was and still is a great game

Cod4 is better than 5 for sure, yeah, i'd like to see a decent server lobby, but not just for Cod, for the next BF installment too.
You would'nt expect anything less on the pc, so why is it so hard to do on the ps3?

its certainly not within the capabilities of dice but i think where consoles are concerned the developers take the view that less is more, the nintendo way of thinking, nothing too complicated for us stupid console folk!

pc's are for adults - consoles are for kids

i've grown up with pc's, my first computer was a zx spectrum when i was 11, i've grown up with consoles, ps1, xbox, dreamcast, ps2 and ps3

i want to be able to make a choice with my games and not be locked into some matchmaking system

damn it i want full control over what i play, who i play with and when

i don't want lag, that should be unacceptable now - developers just don't care enough

if we all took our games back the story would be different!!!

I know what you mean, less is more. But less does'nt work, I just hope developers eventually cotton on.

I grew up on the BBC-B, Commdore64, Amiga, Atari ST, virtually all the consoles from NES up.
PC's in '93 then shortly after, started fixing/building them.

I have COD4 and really enjoyed it. All those ideas they put in COD4/2 are good but it must be technically possible to have crossconsole server so that PS3 users can play against XBOX users, why not?

different proxy servers, different net code to handle different proxy's.
THB it's only speculation, I don't really know.

But....you are game developer, you can do what you like it is your servers you can really do what you like. You can code universal protocol in that would work for both consoles. In fact the first game that will do that will be THE GAME!

Cross console servers are a great idea, I have lots of mates who own XBOX's. I spend alot of my time at work defending the PS3. I don't think it will ever happen though. Microsoft would rather I buy an xbox to play with my mates. I think SONY think the same way and like to keep the network exclusive.

It's part of the big console war. I think it's a bit like the cold war of the 1980's. Microsoft and SONY co-operating in something would have been like america and russia joining forces in a joint venture to put a man on the moon.

In the console war though, it's the gamers who lose out.

I hope some developer figures out a way to link the networks together in their game so we can all play together, but I think it will upset people in high places.

Upset? Those cock sucking execs they will pray for a chance to stick one up their competitors arse. Being able to have a proper console war even if it is only a game...I dunno.
