My 3 year old son just destroyed our 42" HD LCD TV. He threw a toy car at it this morning and cracked the screen. When the TV is switched off it looks OK. The 'outer screen' is not damaged - but the flat panel underneath is cracked. When you switch on the TV you see a picture of a bullet hole that covers the whole picture.
Why me ?
Can't afford to replace it, and it wasn't insured.
:wall
LCD TV Cracked. NOOOOO!!!!!!

Daim this is unlucky as the price of TV is basically the price of LCD matrix. Have you got content insurance? Maybe you can claim something this way?

I canceled my insurance last year for my car, the insurance company wanted to CHARGE me £170+vat + administration charges.
I asked them to write too me first explaining everything in detail, they kindly obliged.
Cancelation fee, £100, lost business fee £70 blah blah blah.
Sent this too the FSA, one phonecall from them, and one letter from the insurers stating that I owed them nothing.
Funny that, FSA got involved and they shit themselves.
It costs them £1000 PER DAY if the FSA have to get involved, so insurance companies almost always pay out, they dare'nt do otherwise.
My uncle had life insurance, but because of a technicality, they would'nt honour it, nor payback anymoney paid into it.
It took them 6 months, after the FSA got involved, we got the money back, with interest and they got a very hefty fine, plus costs. Yes it even went to court, misold and miss represented at the time of sale.
Fuck 'em. I hate the bastards, they look for any excuse NOT to pay, even when they have to pay.
Edited.

I worked in a customer service roll for 10 years. I had to know a few things.
I have'nt fully read seddons post about the CPA, but if you have something thats faulty, out of warranty, you can still get free repairs on it.
"within a reasonable period of time", the more expensive it is, the longer is should last, and thats in the the eyes of the Court.
