Viber - skype like calling but better

I was told about Viber by Jay - in Canada.
It's much like skype but it's free, and actually a lot better/clearer.
You can also send texts to people on you viber contact list.

It also works across platforms, so you can call friends/family who have iphones from an adroid phone.
