Something big? Probably, something really big? I don't know.
But a lot of pundits are suggesting a press conference about the PlayStation 4.
Some have suggested that the PS4 will launch in Japan (Asia), and North America this year while Europe gets it early next year. Not a good idea, not when people are tapped out after Christmas, and definitely not a good idea to ignore YOUR BIGGEST MARKET.
no wonder Sony are in dire straits when they keep classing Europeans as second class consumers.

Sony are fucked if this isn't for the PS4. The backlash will be huge.

Sony may be looking to break with tradition with the PS4, but one old habit could rear its ugly head.
As was the way with the launch of PS3, which launched in Japan and North America in November 2006 but didn’t arrive in Europe until March 2007, Edge believes that PS4 will arrive overseas by the end of 2013 but not hit Europe until early 2014.
The complex European market is apparently to blame.
The site adds that the console will come with a redesigned controller featuring a touchpad where the current model houses its Home, Start and Select buttons. The tech will be the same as that utilised in the Vita’s rear touchpad.
Also new on the controller is a Share button that will allow users to share screenshots and video online, with the most recent 15 minutes of gameplay being constantly recorded by the console.
A redesigned PlayStation Eye is also planned, it is said, which will up the tech included and remain compatible with the PlayStation Move.
The PS4 will be revealed at a New York press gathering on February 20th.

Yeah, SCEE know all about that. Just like Microsoft, Apple, Steam and other global vendors... Oh, wait...Dazbobaby wrote:The complex European market is apparently to blame.

That would actually be awesome, although I doubt it will work as advertised. Still, it makes sense for manufacturers to make it easy for users to plaster their shit in as many places as possible. It's the ultimate marketing at the end of the day...Dazbobaby wrote:Also new on the controller is a Share button that will allow users to share screenshots and video online, with the most recent 15 minutes of gameplay being constantly recorded by the console.

Not Sony's problem.
In fact that would be a plus over M$ as far as Sony was concerned.
