New PS3 Hack Lv0 = Game over?

It's been a while since I posted anything about hacking on the PS3, since Sony forced people to update to 3.60 to play on PSN, it's really been useless to hack.

But all that might change now, Rogero, a hacker, has released LV0 keys. This means absolute access to all the PS3 encryption keys, full root access, and even future custom firmwares that should work on PSN.

I'm scanning various websites right now to see how it's done, and it's not easy, it's quite technical and complex, and could render that PS3 useless.

Only a month or two ago, i was thinking to myself,
I wonder if Sony would pull a stunt to leak out some info to Crack the PS3.

Let me explain

I understand a Hacker has done this, but its a little funny everyone has been on this for HOW long and no one has ever gotten this far.

My theory is, Sony have had a helping hand in this one way or other,

Why..... well the release of new consoles is not too far away,
And what other way can you really drive sales on a console ......... Let it be hacked.

Hmmmmmm everyone floods out and buys a console,
Cracks it so can play games for free.

SCEE do a load of Hardware Bans, people go out and buy another console and dont do it,
or end up with two consoles, One for online play another for offline play.

I may be wrong, but a funny time for all this to come out in the open

as in brick it? cant see many people trying it then if its that difficult. A fella back home used to chip peoples PS1's one day he blew up someone's ps1, so what pickle does that leave him in? he runs a business doing something illegal and he's damaged a customers property beyond repair

i never did find out but im going to assume he bought that person a new ps1

I didn't run a living doing it, But i used to do it for a number of consoles.

I said i offer no warranty if it works, how long it will work for,
And if it damages your console.

Its not how the console should work, so any modifications can impact the way it functions, or stop it from functioning at all.

Its your own risk if you wish to mod it, So prepare for the consequences

I think soon we'll see a single .PUP becoming available that will install the hack.
RogerO was supposed to be working on it and releasing it when it was ready, but someone forced his hand, someone who stole the code and tried to sell a one step version. So he released the code and .PUP file before it was ready.

Some people have reported bricks, while other say it's resurrected bricked PS3's. It's still early days yet, in fact it's only been 2 days since it's public release. So time will tell.

Update:
The single pup installer/hack/utils has now been released. You can stay on 4.30 or downgrade to 3.55. Cinavia has been removed too.

Still a hefty investment of around £50 - £80
for a E3 flasher set

Still unable to downgrade Official Firmware unless you are on 3.60 or something.

Still a wait to see if anything happens with a release for a exploit so no hardware is needed

Or known as the Term "Softmod"

You need to be on 3.55 for this to work, eventually a hack will be released for other FW versions... I think and hope.

But the E3 flasher downgrades the PS3 to 3.55 where the exploit is possible,
Then thats where you start the magic
