My PC is slowly grinding to a halt, firefox is dragging its arse over everything and im fed up of even the simplest things requiring a cup of tea making :))

time to backup and format, its a fucking nightmare! i'd buy a new PC but i just cannot afford it and lets be fair to my 5 year old AMD 64, when she runs well she runs ok!

I know the feeling Pud,

I used to format my machine every so often, Got more and more frequent before i binned it.

But on another note, if you are doing it alot.
Why not make your own OS Install disc.

Pre load it with Drivers, Settings, Applications.

So once you are installed you have everything you want on it with a nice clean OS.

I used to do it with Firefox, Xfire, Teamspeak, Graphic Drivers, Couple of other applications and OS tweaks.
Saved a load of time after a format anyway, Most painful process.

its all ready got a preloaded HP created partition that worked a treat before so i can just run from that, worked like a dream last time i did it

amusingly it lasted far longer from 2005 to its first format than it has second time around
