Just more of a test for video than anything else.
All i gota do now is remeber to swop the record to 1280x720 for full youtube quality and width.

yer i got a nice plugin for sony vegas (youtube plugin) so wen i come to editing etc next time and encoding the vid, i can put it correct.

The vid actually recorded in 1280x720 which displays 16:9 too, but wen i encoded it i didnt have the youtube plugin which has the HQ/HD/aspect & bitrate settings stored for it, so yer - next one i think wil be C&C match wen i lose to infinite pmsl/

ive got the correct settings now

1280x720 - and youtube thinks its actually HD and give su the best quality you can get.

try it and let me know.

so i think il be using this format from now on, does it seem ok -? would appreciate feedback on the settings of the video in HD mode.

Dunno Sy, aspect ratio is ok, but the hd quality is a bit low, don't you think, it is almost if the image was resized to make it bigger from a smaller image.

yer but its not true HD unless its 1080p.

But i know what u mean, it sjust seems to be the only way to get your videos up without losing quality.

Do you have any other ideas on getting the picture right?

i never uploaded vids to youtube so I have no idea. Maybe there are some tutorials on the net?

am using dazzel Dave.

Then i edit it via sony vegas because belive it or not 20 mins of gameplay is over a gig and u can get it right down to just 20mb with sony vegas lol.

Ive been trying to get the picture right - the setting above aint that bad, but if i pad the black bars at the side on my first video that would mean half the picture wud be missing, imma try n work it out i suppose lol.

Is it a new feature in the Firmware?
Or is it a downloadable you have downloaded in order to do this?

just had a look at the dazzle specs, it's not HD.
highest rez is 720x576 or broadcast TV resolution/DVD resolution
Also the video's you've posted on youtube don't have HD switches so again that confirms it's not HD.

of course its not HD - as in high def!

the full spec of my dazle is 1280x720 max.
but this is not true HD either!

the reason they are going on youtube HD (higher detail) not high def is because u can trick youtube to not do much else with the video.

What im doing is providing a full video with little to none qulaity loss.

and yes my last video does have a HD switch, what are you on about?
<< higher details aka HD, only way to get true HD is record in 1080p.
Or u can do HQ videos at a cost of quality.

capture video from TV screen @ 1280x720 16:9 ar.
Then u trick youtube into thinking you uploaded a full high def movie - which means youtube doesnt play with the encoding to much.
This then produces the HD switch on the video and then you can see the video as it was recorded and intended with no loss of quality.. so having HD link on the player is pure video.
But not true high def - do u know what i mean?

Thers no way to get pure HD on unless you ave a £300 capture card or a HD vid cam.

1280x720 recordings to youtube is classed as higher detail, (HD) not HD as in high def
So basically you trick youtube by encoding as HD .. do u get it? -

so in a nutshell you tell youtube u got a hd video, when u haven't and it keeps the video as you recorded it, without loss of quality
