I've had a few problems with COD4, mainly router problems when chris is here.
It usually needs a reboot of the router before we can both play online.
But last night was something unique, and it pissed me off so much, I wanted rid of my PS3 if it was the ps3 that was at fault.
So what was the problem?
It would'nt load a map, any map, not even a split screen or lan party map, and dont even get me started with downloading game settings.
I rebooted the router as thats the most common problem, it did'nt work, deleted the save game and game data, still did'nt work.
Backed up the entire hdd, reformatted, did a factory restore, still did'nt work, swapped disks with chris, still did'nt work and worse still, chris's ps3 played mine flawlessly.
So the only thing left was the PS3 right? Wrong, rebooted the router again and it worked? WTF? That was the first thing I tried, and it did not work, but this time it did.
So anyways, we wanted to play, and we booted both consoles, setup COD4, rebooted the router, and lo and behold, downloading game settings, rebooted the router again and it still did'nt work.
By this time I was totaly fucked off with cod4, took that, COD5, and a shit load of blu-rays down to blockbuster and traded in the lot.
Bought a few in return though...
Army of two - pretty good
Club, not bad, typical Sega vilolence
Far Cry 2
and Pure.
They did'nt have RA3, so sorry Sy and Infinite, I would have got that first, still I do have £20 in credit too.
So if they get it in, i'll be in like Flynn.
It's driven me mad has cod, even after all the problems with BFBC, I still kept it, but COD drove me over the edge, and now it's gone.
Good riddance to fucking appalling net code.
Traded in Cod 4 so many problems with it.

Yeah, but he's here five out of seven days.
It's not an uncommon problem, even opening individual ports for the indevidual ps3's makes no difference.
Funny how it's just cod 4 and nothing else thats effected.
