I've seen every single batman movie ever made (not cartoons) and enjoyed them all, even Batman and Robin was good.
But I never get excited about them. Strange eh?

I find my film enjoyment is directly relative to my expectations, so maybe that's the secret of your success? Don't get excited for them - just watch them... B-)

Well then you should watch Robotropolis to test your theory. It is bad, very bad. Now that you know you should not get disappointed in how bad it is, but somehow I think you still won't make it till the end.

LOL my theory doesn't extend to polishing turds KK :)

It just bumps "meh"s to "ok"s, or "ok"s to "good"s and can avoid awesome films getting downgraded unfairly...

I see what you mean. A friend of mine disliked 5th element when we watched it in the cinema. Then loved it the second time. Go figure.

I had the exact same thing with Kingdom of Heaven. I felt cheated at the cinema but the more I watch it, the more I love it.

Second viewing is always the true evaluation I think because there are no preconceived expectations to disappoint.

But sometimes, films are just shyte - no two ways about it ;)

P.S: disliking 5th Element is almost a stoning offence
