I know which device I'd rather have, and it's not the iphone.

Should of went for the Nexus or something for a Android that will last a while.
You want a Android thats High in the community to be kept upto date with new Roms, Ports and Tools.

Am running the new ice Cream sandwich thats not even ready for my phone yet,
and i bet you its stable, faster and smoother than the offical release.

Any advise for a Android Phone, is check XDA Developers out, and see how popular it is in the community.
If you cannot root it and its not well supported, then its not worth it.

I would never have a anroid i cannot root and load custom roms onto.
they are 1000000 times better.

I did notice Leedroid moved over there and done some Development,
He is a well respected Android OS Developer, and used him ROM for some years, and gets a 10/10 from me,
Also a nice chap to work with.

If you wanting more, i would suggest rooting and use Leedroid.


I would like to add.
HTC have released a Bootloader. (They have unlocked there handsets to custom ROMS)
So OFFICIALY, you can go to htc.com and get a boot loader for loading ROMS.

He has done for Gingerbread (A More Basic stripped down version of android MUCH FASTER)
Sense, A More memory heavy animated based ROM.

Once you start you will be addicted lol

Yeah, Dave, I sorted my HTC HD2 by visiting that place, but can't say I'm addicted. I got ROM that is stable and runs fast and I use the phone like micro tablet really. My next purchase will probably be Galaxy Tab 2, 7 inch when I'm rich

Yet it's for some people an others not, it's defo worth a custom ROM as you know yourself.

I update my phone once a week with my current ROM,
An I currently have two other Roms I keep installing an use nadroid I restore them.

Was playing around with dual boot the other day. But one sense like ROM other stock rom an Icecream that's me fav ATM.

Just wish the source for the kernel would get released some time soon
