Gallery UPDATE:

Am Toying with some things at the moment,
Looking at long terms, Updates Integration, User Friendly, Mobility.

And So On.

Anyway i fired-up one of my Favourite gallery's from back in the Day.

Its Still updating and Adding Images From the current gallery,
And its Not Integrated into the Forum,

But its been skinned already, So have a little look and tell me what you think.

I have not organised anything, So click on Coppermine
and then click on any of the albums that have Images (There still uploading)

And play around with some options.

I had a quick play with gallery 3 a couple of weeks ago, it didn't look this good.

Yer, am pretty upto notich with Gallery 3
I spent years on it.

Only down side is av never done a bridge before,
And i had a little look on the net, and little could i find anything on it.

So i might have to make a Painful process of making one from scratch,
But i have no idea on timescale on that one,

So if users dont mind signing up as they normally would, an use a login for it,
I will get something sorted at some point, but dont know when.

Just have a play with it, Dont go crazy uploading everything, As i need to Bring in Coppermien gallery too it, and there is around 12,000 images to bring over.

considering how little use the gallery gets from us, why bother integrating?

There's only me, Dave and Sy who regularly upload.

infact, why even bother with a gallery now? With the image attachment working so well on here, see if you can create a phpbb gallery/mass upload plugin.

Well its more for the Motivational Pics.

I need somewhere to Save and host them, There being dumped into a single folder.

I need a gallery to manage and database them, So i can then Further it for Facebook and Twitter


i count 9,998 in 00001 Folder in the Userfolder for Albums....
And thats straight from the FTP

Its a good collection of images.
And you can clear them out or delete them if you want, Organizing and rearranging is mega easy, Drag and drop in mass.
So Wallpapers etc all split up

ignore _thumb and _normal images, they are (obviously) not the full size images, they are the cpg created thumbnails and medium sized images.

Never Picked up on these,
Just removing them now, and going to do a Full Import then

So Fingers Crossed.

You can help me rearranage everything, Its VERY Quick and easy,
And i will take things further for Iphone and Android compatability and so on.

Forum is great, But finding them Pics is not so easy when there sitting in 100's of pages of posts

Yer i think av fucked the lot up,
I was copying A Directory to a Temp location, when the server Crashed.
Seem to have lost all the images,

I made a backup before hand, but its only 300mb or something, i will be suprised if it hold the images.
I will check when am back home. But am going to be pretty Fucked off if its all gone

Backup file corrupted!
So of Anything went tits up updating anything I would of been fucked!

My own bad for not Downloading an checking the structure before I do anything! I do it pretty much every other day with clients sites. Just been lazy an took it for granted it worked!!

I can run through any archives I might have on my machine! If not I'll let every one of you slap me for the loss of the images.

Thanks for the restore Dave, it wasn't too badly out of date.
I've deleted the few missing images and put it back online.
