Is Virgin Worth it?

Am moving house, and its going to be within the next few weeks

Anyway, Without a doubt i was going to Consider Sky Again.
They have never let me down.

But i seen clicked on a Add by Mistake from Virgin, And see then Price. (Pretty much next to nothing)

And TV is on Demand... Or if it works from what av bin told,.

I know Sys and Charlie are on it.

Nope, Only about 5 - 10 Minutes down the road.
About time i stood on my own two feet again.

I have been Lodging it with some Pals,
In a hope to sort some Financial situations out.
Allthough they are still there, they have been..... what would you call it, Consolidated... (all under one thing now)
Sorted with a Personal Loan.

Anyway Cut a long story short. Its about time i got back on my own
Feet with my own home again.

So Just finding a cheapish place i move to, Do up and crash there

If you're happy with Sky, I'd say stick with them. Virgin are ok. I would say the internet is no better, or in some cases worse, than when we were with Tiscali. Sometimes YouTube videos can't even play through without pausing to cache in the middle. But then that might just depend on how densely populated your area is with Virgin users.

The upside is that we get the TV and phone as well for the same price as we just used to spend on internet.

I think it all depends where you live, a big city like london, all internet is going to be a bit shit at peak times, millions of people have net there.

I've had virgin since it began as comtel.. then ntl and in all maybe 10 years i've had 2 major issues with it, one being the most recent.

I am happy with mine, i always get full speed aswell at all times so for me there is nothing better out today that i would be intrested in.

I have tv , net and phone and pay just short of 63 quid p/m because i also have sky movies and extra boxes,my bill never really changes unless i order films, but i also have a good deal from 6 years ago when broadband wasn't so big and i have never had any price change.

30mb broadband, all tv channels except sport and a phone..
Its about 25 quid on its own for broadband or 5 with a phone line i think these days.

We've just ordered in Virgin - getting it installed on 3rd of Feb.
Been With BT past 18months and Sky previous.

So soon as it gets put in ill give you a quick review/comparison.
But considering our average speed on copper is about 1.8mb download (yeah turd)......and shifting that over to fibre optic should hopefully have a noticable difference

Higher Speed net, Could do with, And am moving away from the Exchange so i know am not going to get 17mb Where am going, I think it would be under 10. While 7mb drop may not seem much,

It shaves alot of time off downloading a 720p movie.

So i might give Virgin a call.

Signed all the paper work, and give them the moneys, Just waiting for the OK if i have it or not now.
So will be moving in any time soon, Supsose i need to look at packing lol!!

Cudnt drag you all the way from York to help me move, and for the little i now have anyway,
I let go of alot of stuff from the flat.

Just a matter of boxing my own stuff up and doing it in one trip.

Hiring a Van and doing it in one go. And then need to shop to buy some new or 2nd hand things to get me started again

Move date is Tuesday So well expect me to be down for a Day LOL!!!!
Signing the house contract on Friday,
An i been speaking with Virgin today (Placed my order with them)
And there coming out Especially on Wednesday to install it all for me.

(As i will be out the country for a month the week after lol)

So instead of the 2 weeks min waiting time, they bumped me up the list.
So should not be down long.

Am pretty much starting from scratch again.
Have a Van sorted, and going to kill it on Tuesday, Then to relax for a meal in the evening with Kim.

Back to work Wendesday, and have Thursday (my Bday) and Friday off to sort the place out and get stuff and well get pissed lol.

Yeah sometimes it is very good sometimes it is shit no idea if this is because they mess with network or because of other users.
