From the start you cross the bridge, After the bridge you head to the far right hand side,
and then drop onto a Tiny Ledge and drop down again (To reduce Fall Damage) and your in like some shallow water?

I like farming those wraiths for chunks, slabs and souls though... Mind you, I can't even go down the first lift at the moment because I get owned by the two at the bottom (I'm trying to save all my magic for the four kings, because they are a whole new headache).


EDIT: just watched your vids, and they are essentially the same short cut, but the bottom guy takes a less efficient route to ultimately the same water pool. I was going to try this tanking tactic on the kings as well - got iron skin equipped and stone armour ready to wear...

What is that Iron Flesh?
And where do you get it?

It's a Pyromancy spell that you can buy from Laurentius (the guy you let out of a barrel after the first butcher in the Depths). It turns you into a tank: super high defence, but fuck all movement. Combine it with heavy duty armour and just try and out-damage a boss...

I've never used it, but I'll be trying it on the 4 kings after Vampire Diaries. I'll let you know how it goes

It's shit.

It may be good if you're a melee character and can deal massive damage, but my character is INT based and that wasn't the way forward.

Two fucking nights I've been stuck on those king cunts. But in the end, what worked for me was homing crystal soul mass on the first two, then strong magic shield (which means they effectively can't damage me at all, even if I don't block - they knock me over, but no damage), then just spam melee on them until dead.

Arseholes. Dead arseholes now.

Also, I never realised that you can equip the same spell twice and get double the ammo. All you need is a second scroll. So I'm gonna buy crystal soul mass for every play through (and crystal spear), and just load up with 40 of the bitches

Nah, I don't use crystal stuff because you can't repair it so it's basically finite use. Logan's wand also has an S rating, but the magic modifier isn't as great as whatever I'm using now...

I think my current wand has 200 magic modifier and an A rating... I should probably re-evaluate that now that my INT has pretty much doubled since I adopted it. But my magic hits hard. Well HCSM does, anyway. Everything else seems a bit weak relatively - even White Dragon Breath which I've only just met the requirements for.

It's the best wand in the game.

S rating and modifiers are insane coupled with crystal homing mass - slaughther.

I just read something that implied that patch 1.04 might be live... I think the servers certainly went offline last night when I was trying to summon for the four cunts...

Major changes are coming to Dark Souls with version 1.04. From Software announced the update, which further tweaks the game. The patch will adjust equipment and spells such as magic shield, great magical shield, Ring of Fog, Iron Flesh, Pyromancy Flame, and the slowing effect of Tranquil Walk of Peace. Drop rates, equipment weight, and the amount of souls earned from defeating enemies were fine tuned too. Bosses will also drop humanity or Homeward Bone items.



Shopkeepers carry more items after the update. The Undead Merchant (male) will sell a Bottomless Box. Domnhall of Zena sells a master key after moving locations. You can buy Twinkling Titanite from the Giant Blacksmith. Blacksmith Vamos and the Giant Blacksmith will sell Weapon Smithbox, Armor Smithbox, and Repairboxes for use at bonfires. Arrows are easier to acquire too since many merchants including the Undead Merchant (female) and Blacksmith Andrei sell: standard arrows, heavy arrows, wood arrows, normal bolts, heavy bolts, and wood bolts.



Dark Souls version 1.04 adjusts multiplayer matching and the amount of souls players receive after defeating a boss. Players get the full amount of souls in this version. Players who prefer to invade games will be happy to know that cracked red orbs will only be used if you successfully invade a game. Failed invasions will no longer consume orbs.



A number of glitches like issues that cause the game to hang up, players to get stuck, and a bug that lets players use an infinite amount of items and/or spells have been remedied too. A one second delay when attacking enemies has also been resolved.



Dark Souls version 1.04 will go live on November 2nd around noontime in Japan.

I tried it - it's crap. Statistically its good, but it cuts your spell uses in half, but no way does it do double damage. Logan's wand is what I'm using now - similar stats but no use reduction. S intelligence boost and 230-odd magic modifier...

Still is the best wand in the game though - also s rating, u can't beat it.

If u had int at 40 u get about 1700spell damage.....is logans wand an s? thought it was A.

If it is S then yeah probaly worth staying with that then since you'd do more damage over time as u would have more spells...

Have u ascended your pyro flame yet? +5 also an s rating.

u should be about level 120-30 now? time for co-op? (after patch) lol

It would be the best wand in the game if not for the half uses bullshit. That knocks it right down the ladder, below what I was using - the Oolicile Wand or something (you get it off that bird stuck in the golden golem behind the Darkroot hydra).

Yeah, I'm coming up to 120 I think (or maybe just over). The soul farming in the garden is sweet on NG+ - 7.2k per kill

I've ascended my pyro flame, but I think it's stuck at +3 or something. I'm not too fussed as my INT is my main stat, so all my (4) attunement slots go on spells.

I've just entered Anor Londo again, so I'm gonna beeline for the Archives and buy another crystal homer and crystal javelin or whatever its called. They rip shit up

I really hope the patch does sort out the co-op, but I can't see them suddenly switch to single dedicated servers... If it did though, we should all start new chars for co-op. I'd love to try a different build.
