I'm not on about shitty Budweiser or Miller Genuine Draft 'cos I think they're awful.
I'm talking about Pale Ale, Bitter, Stout and more.
I've just been to my local asda and bought a beer I've never had before:
Innis and Gunn Blonde, with a hint of vanilla.
It's a hand crafted Scottish beer, brewed in small batches.
It's utterly gorgeous, one of the very best traditional beers I've ever had. Slightly sweet Pale Ale that tastes like Nirvana.
I do like lagers, Sapporo, San Miguel, Molson Canadian Dry and a few others, I just dont like being brainwashed into shit lagers.
Gorgeous Beers

What makes it worse, the exit is on a back street with parked cars everywhere... made me wonder if I was gonna get hijacked!

Wells and youngs:
Banana bread beer.
They also make the Waggle Dance you were on about earlier Pud.
not bad, bit malty but the banana cuts it just right.
Very nice and palatable.
bought from Asda, Morrisons, and my local farm shop... my farm shop also does a Strawberry beer - probably my favourite overall, and a pear cider. Now I'm not a cider fan but that one is very nice.

I was always a spirit man in my youf, and barely touched lager let alone ales, but one day...
How I got into traditional ales:
One of my very first days as a wagon driver (class 2 (rigid)) I dropped off some malt and barley and hops to a local brewer. They were very small, about 10 barrels a week, but they sold their beer at £2.00 a pint even in locals, and that was 8 years ago.
I had to have a taste and man did I love it, it's just a shame I had to drive back... but with a couple of bottles in my pocket!
I cant remember the name or location, all I can say, it was somewhere out in the middle of nowhere in Todmorden.

Daz this is what i was talking about earlier
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Moon_%28beer%29
blue moon is a wheatbeer bit like erdinger, but its sexy as hell, got a nice sweet taste to it with a dry aftertaste, and the brewer actually recommends adding a slice of orange which isnt neccesary but ads to it, pretty damn fine

available in tesco SFAIK
also one to try

dark strong tasting lager from USA but brewed really nice, Sainsburys SFAIK
