Poor Kids

watched a program on bbc3 last night called poor kids..
it is on iplayer too..

Basically i felt really sorry for them.
This dad didn't have a job, his mrs left him with 3 kids - he can't get a job in the town he lives in since there are to many people after so little jobs.

He has to feed the entire family,clothe them and get stuff for school, christmas etc on £65 a week...........
The kids looked "scroggy" but at least he was able to keep them fed n watered.

Then these other people lived in scotland "the gorgles" and they are flats full of damp n mould, baby in the cot, matresses moulded to fuck, no money... really horrible.

Felt sorry for them, these people are all affected by the current government policies, they have to go without some very basic things.. was a shame really... poverty stricken kids...

Now if i won the lottery bigtime, these would be the people i would help for sure...

You should watch it... you'd be suprised what really goes on in the uk.
We are voted in the uk 18th in the world for poverty.. i thik they should stop sending billions to africa and help people in our own fucking backyard!

Sy the last company i worked for put broadband into some homes in disadvantaged areas i was upset/ashamed/disgusted/astonished at the state of some of these people and homes, some people you could tell were trying and didnt deserve to be there others were scum sucking leaches with no inherent benefit to society

im not sure i could watch it i'd probably turn off because its too upsetting. I'd probably class myself as "upper working class" other might disagree, im an only child mum and dad are in their late 60s both have had jobs (old man still works) grafting for a living (coal mining/typist) and they had no mortgage when i was born, i had a comfortable upbrining, my mum and dad worked there fucking backsides off to keep me happy, and its only at this ripe old age i realise how much, but it made them happy

and ill be fucking buggered sideways if i have kids and i cant keep them fed watered and reasonably entertained. Im not preaching to those its already happened too, and we cant really see the future but i know right here and now i couldnt support kids, and i dont plan to unless i have a good loving stable relationship and the disposable income to bring them up with

The thing is, you can never "afford" kids - they just happen and you find a way to make it work.
