Blah, nothing beats a console or PC for gaming.

But the market for instant gratification is a big one, and it's growing.

I think its very possible.

Console where your fixed to 1 place, 1 tv, if you want to move it its a right faff

Portable devices that is an extra to carry around,
PSP, Nintendo DS etc etc

Iphone..... You always have it with you, Its no effort to pickup and play. No Faff nothing.

Whats the downside.... Controls, as Daz said there is nothing better than a Good Console (Well i would say Controller)

If the next post is to do with the Power in a Small Handset i would say no, With Nvidias Chip Development recently its bloody fascinating.
The only thing they need to do is sort High Cell Powered battery's,
I have read a few different types of battery's Proto Types, some work some dont, but still nothing solid enough to be put into practice .

If they master them two, the door is surly there i would say.

Nah bollocks.

Apple are simply extending what Nintendo started by adding easy access digital distribution to the casual gaming market. The same market that Ninty has been fleecing for years. Unfortunately for Nintendo, Apple made selling content piss easy, while Nintendo revealed their complete noobishness when it comes to online by hiding their stores behind a load of front end crap.

The hardcore console gamers already have this casual/indie need catered for via PSN Store/XBL Arcade anyway. It's possible that phones could replace consoles, but it's not going to happen any time soon - for me, it requires a VR headset to be plugged into the phone and some amazing innovations in control dynamics.

Doubt it.

If they want dominance in the gaming sector, they need to produce some hardware that people will look at seriously.

Half of macs are pretty shit, i mean from a pc building standpoint, you get more specs for less money than apple can do, not only that at a guess 60% of games on todays market can't even run on macs without farting about.
It's only recently that games and companies are even making "mac compatible games".. some of the great games don't even work on mac for example.

But i am sure they could win on the current digital model they do with some games and mobile etc etc.. in termsof physcial bang for your buck, mac fails, it's the truth!

Anyways in terms of there markets in ipads/phones and them sort of games, okay they might be onto a winner.

But in all honesty i have yet to see apple come out with anything that is even worth my time - gaming wise.
