The more i browse the net the more i keep stumbling across this,
WTF is it?

Anyone played it or even come across it before?

Yeah I've heard a colleague raving about it. It was in it's beta stage (which it might still be). It sounded pretty shit TBH, but he loved it. I think you basically make a mine by digging tunnels and creating objects to place in them...

Minecraft is a sandbox construction game, inspired by Infiniminer, and created by Markus Persson, the founder of Mojang AB. The game involves players creating and destroying various types of blocks in a three dimensional environment. The player takes an avatar that can destroy or create blocks, forming fantastic structures, creations and artwork across the various multiplayer servers in multiple game modes.

I've had Minecraft for almost a year now (bought in Alpha, still in beta). And yes it sounds shite when it's written on a screen in front of you, but in reality it's a brilliant game!

You start off in a world that is completely unique to you with nothing, and the idea is to survive. You can collect resources and minerals, which in return give you better tools so you can build anything you want e.g. a house, structure underground fortress.

It also has multiplayer so you can join friends and help build and survive together.


I introduced a mate of mine to the game and we created a local server, which we played until 4am at times.


I haven't explained it too well, you will need to play it to understand I guess. Sy has it, maybe he can do better? But I expect he got bored it very quickly.

i have had it just over a year, before it went big time.. it really is a great game... start with nothing.. build an empire... it is great and when you have nothing to do you can get lost for hours in that game lol.

Ok so i have spent like 6 hours on this already.....

I got lost in time last night big time

I how have my own Place, Chests, Furnace.
Windows and Lights So it feels ahome LMAO!!!

I also made a little back part to it, and started digging deep hoping i will find some good resources, or see if i join onto a secret cave or something.

For a Game so Low Graphically, it sure keeps you Drilled in!!
I would be interested in joining one of your Games and seeing your little setup

get yaself some mod packs like skins, some people make some really nice high res textures..

HAHAHA!! How addictive is this game.
I need to do work!! been playing it in work

My back part of my house, The whole i was digging, has joined onto a secret cave. Loaded with resources.
But i need to build some weapons as its overloaded with Enemys and i keep trying to kill them all with my Pickaxe LOL!!!!

I will defo have a look at that mod when i get in! but am impressed with it am enjoying it, My home looks like a secret Castle.
And the fact it now leads onto a Massive cave hehe!!!

Hunting for that Red Dust so i can make a Compass and then make a Map

Give us a little Vid of your Place Sys..... or invite me to yuor gaff haha

I'm not even sure how u do it for my own area.. i know i can join other peoples, i might look at adding a linux server for it, where everything will save and we can build it together at any time.
I will record some videos though at some point.

this is an inventory editor, you can add anything u want, but listen to me.. don't add everything because it defeats the point of exploring/building..

In here i add some diamond tools and some armour and stone also i add water and lava which u can use to create ya own pools/lava filled glass houses whatever, the rest i just do as u normally do in the world.

I just added a couple of Weapons and that Red Dust as av dug up 100000 of ft and not found any

And a few Candles, As there a pain in the ass to resource

Does this work ingame..... Not got Windows running on my MAC machine so the temptation wont be there haha!!

Is this that thing i read about, if you do the Value over 64 it becomes Infinity, but you have to leave it equipped in your quick items boxs at the bottom?

yeah if u just put 99999 in it is infinite and for armour if u put -9999 in it gives you millions of armour points/or weapon durablity.

I am gunna start a new world right now (random map code: l33tasfuck) is pretty good.
