No way, I never realised they did those pinball games - I fucking loved those games! And I'm surprised Modern Combat on PS2 didn't do that well - I always thought it was a hit...

Interesting watching (but only goes up to just before MoH release):

I had no idea about any of that!!

Especially how soon 1943 was after the starting of the company

Fascinating to watch.

I dont think 2142 was the flop that they say it was, I think it was very well received, but possibly not as big a hit as BF2 because a lot of people were still playing that.

Mirrors Edge linear? It's one of the most un-linear games I've ever played. Sure some of the levels are, but overall it's very very open.

It's a good job both games have a great fan base, even if it's a cult fan base.

Nah - don't get me wrong, I love Mirror's Edge, but it is linear as fuck. Now and then you get a couple of options of how to get to the next point on the line (e.g. do I go over this shed or around it), but by and large, the game is one long line. Not that I'm against that - it allows for a more finely crafted experience.

And I think 2142 was my favourite BF to date. Although that may be because I have a soft spot for giant mechs and dropships. Or it may be because it's the only BF I've played with mates within voice range (I played at work at lunch). Or maybe because it's the only BF I've played with the commander feature intact. Or it may be because it's only one I've played on PC (not including the first '42 demo)...
