im due to get a new sofa tomorrow and something has dawned on me, the one that was on display in the showroom, may have been mislabled as a 3 seater, when it was actually a large 2 seater.
this is the sofa in question:
http://www.dfs.co.uk/sofas/fabric-sofas/samuel/
the 3 sofa is 212cm wide
the large 2 sofa is 193cm wide
now i cant quite remember the day i measured it up but im pretty damn sure that it wasn't 212cm wide.
after the sofa is delivered im going to go back to the showroom, and measure the sofa in question. if it turns out that they have mislabed the sofa and as a consequence i have ordered one too big, what can i do?
also its completely possible i didnt measure properly in which case i await your abuse once i come clean

My mate got a refund from DFS on a cream leather sofa because around the back was a cattle brand / stamp showing through, it was like some blue numbers. Anyway his wife moaned like fuck about it so they changed it or got a refund, can't remember exactly.
Just saying, if you're not happy for any reason, keep on at them until you get what you want. Eventually they'll cave in just to get rid of you.

Maybe you can make a bolt-gun hole in it and return it on the same principle? IMO a 3-seater should have 3 cushions...who wants to sit on the join?DarkFizz wrote:My mate got a refund from DFS on a cream leather sofa because around the back was a cattle brand / stamp showing through, it was like some blue numbers.
Are they going to fit it? If so it should become apparent if it's too big and they can take it back with them then and there.

no no it will definitely fit, it might make some things a bit of a squeeze.
if i cocked up and oredered the 3 seater without realising there was a model a bit smaller its my fault, you cant really return it because of that.

http://www.dfs.co.uk/sofas/fabric-sofas/cambridge/
http://www.dfs.co.uk/sofas/fabric-sofas/samuel/
http://www.dfs.co.uk/sofas/fabric-sofas/rhonda/
lol the differences are stupidly subtle
