How to play online ?

Anyone care to post an idiot proof guide, I just want to get online and join a race with a few friends - can't figure it out.

Is there an invite system or something ?

I must have missed it. I have only played for half an hour then I lost interest when I could not add any friends, I thought it would be simpler (like me). I got the part about driving to traffic lights to join an offline race. Did that - and unlocked a second car.

I think I will like this game if I can play online, thats why I bought it really. Not played it since.

on the dpad you press right and choose freeburn online

one of the options is related to friends

Thanks for the help. I will give it a try later if I can tear my kids away from the PS3 LOL
