You mean the overhyped torch? Nah, but then again, it might come in useful next time I go to the local disco.

Really in two minds about it.

On the one hand, I really want to see how it affects RUSE, but on the other, I have a Wii, and motion control gets tedious fast, purely by virtue of the fact that it requires more effort than normal.

I couldn't even play High Velocity Bowling because I couldn't be arsed to move so I could play it. That was a waste of £10 or whatever, so I can't see myself wasting £30+ on Move really.

If a load of games come out later that are amazing, then maybe. But I suspect we'll get a slew of gimmick games or ones with Move functionality tacked on. At least the Wii has the benefit of guaranteed motion control, where as PS3 games need to play well for both controls in most cases.

I'm with infinite, its a gimmick. The Wii gives you no choice but to use their controllers, and in a fashion it works... But can you honestly see it replacing the absolute ease that the sixth axis gives? Nope. People will buy it, and people will use it at first but then it'll probably die off. But... if games get patched to support it, and nearly all releases get it along with joypad support, it might eventually find a place in the world, Microsoft certainly think so, they think kinect will destroy move this Christmas.

TBH, I don't think we are the ideal target demographic...

I think Move is aimed more at the casual Wii playing end of the market, with little girls playing dancing games or Harry Potter games.

I know Sony are trying to break that mould, what with the RUSE and KZ3 integrations, but Nintendo - for all their faults - know their market fucking well. And I can't see Sony pulling it off.

IMO, it will calm down to be a glorified 6-axis next year sometime and all us proper players will be back to DS3.

I hope I'm wrong and it revolutionises the FPS market, but I can't see it.

I think sony are a bit late with motion control and MS.

Technically sonys move stick is better than all of them.
BUT..

It's like apple, they are king of the music/itunes market
nintendo are kings of motion control market
and currently sony/ms are battling it out.

howver saying that, today i went n changed, red dead, mafia 2, transformers 2 and fallout 3 and came back with:

MAG
PS MOVE STARTER PACK
NAV CONTROL

I really did want this,

because:
Wii Is good but boring after while i find,
Wii does not have as much money as Sony and does not have as many good developers,

I was looking forward to the Amazing games and the interaction,

But i seem well put off by the idea now,
I dont know if its that Stupid light on the top of it,
Or the poor Technology.

From what i Gather (I may be incorrect)
Wii has Patented the Inferred Sensor (On the remote and the litle bar on the TV)

So Sony run with poor idea that uses the Camera as a Sensor and then it will pickup the Bright light on the control and act like the Wii does with its Inferred.

Or the stupid price they are charging for them,
I was looking forward to it, but i dont know now i am repelled by them,
Maybe its the robbing cunts charging like £60 or more for the full set!!!!!

BTW how does it play on RUSE? any easier or better

No, by all accounts Move is way better than Wii. It's just the effort required to play for extended periods, plus the quality of the software support that puts me off.

At least Sony still has the 3D TV thing up it's sleeve :)

Ok for ruse.. its just win.

It's point and click, move it in the direction you want to move the map.. u hold the button down to zoom (like the middle mouse button on a pc)

Infact i spent 45 minutes against the ai and was sitting on my bed with my elbows resting on my lap, perfect!!!

move you mouse to the corner of your browser now..

you done that?

yes?

well its that easy on ruse with move, cannot belive how fucking insanly responsive this is! u get a small circle cursor on the ruse screen.

It's like wtf! lol point and click for units/press triangle to go to production and just move where u want.

On another note, table tennis is great lol, just uploading a vid of that, the game is great but the player isn't haha.

impressed so far :)
