I know most of the regulars don't care about this, but after looking for some tips online and finding not much of any, maybe this will come up in searches and be of some help to others trying for what is generally considered the hardest trophy in the game...

The general consensus is to whore it with a friend, but this is unpredictable and quite frankly, very dull. My current method, which I'm really enjoying (although it won't get you a huge amount of points) is to find a squad deathmatch on Arica Harbour (which is usually followed by White Pass which also works for this technique).

Choose assault class with any of the "all kit" weapons (my preference is the G3, although shotgun or whatever will work), and take the perks that let you carry more explosives and improved explosives.

Then just run around (stealthily of course), either looking for buildings with gunfire coming from them, or my preference as a bit of a pyro is to just systematically destroy the buildings and hope for the best.

Run into the building, check for bad guys on the ground floor then, if it's clear, chuck an ammo box into the middle. If the building is L-shaped you will need 2 lots of C4, but if it is rectangular you can down it in one (you should be able to place 6 sticks). Place them in the joints of corners at the roof and in the middles of the longest edges, leg it out and destroy it then listen for that sweet sweet groaning sound. Then cross your fingers for some kills (hopefully not team!).

I find I'm getting at least one demo kill this way per match (as people love to camp in roofs on squad death match), if not more, having fun, and still get to play as part of the team by killing anyone I see who's not in a roof. I also get the satisfaction of seeing a leveled map in the post-game camera and knowing I did all that. It's especially cool if the game ends just as you detonate a load of C4 and the building is in view at the end.

probably the most irritating trophy to get in the game!

spent hours blowing up buildings and failing because the people always jump out.
probably wouldnt bother me if we could actually check in our stats somewhere how many destruction 2.0 kills we have achieved!!

cheers for the advice though will head back and try some of your tactics.

be interesting to see what the new trophies are, the ones being added in addition to the kit clothing upgrades tomorrow. :)

I had fun doing it my way, but you should of heard me cuss when I got killed as I was about to detonate the building. Especially if I knew for a fact there was someone in it. The elation from a double or triple kill is awesome though.

And I got the trophy the other day, so I just need to finish the medic unlocks and I'm all set for the DLC :)

Oh, by the way: White Pass is much better than Arica Harbour, as medics and snipers love camping in the roofs. In the harbour, snipers tend to hide in bushes or the indestructible buildings under construction and everyone else runs around at street level.

finally managed to do it, and have my platinum trophy now *smug face* :D

easiest way, well the way i did it was to play Nelson Bay on rush, Attacker (Defender doesnt work) then basically mortar the crap outa the M-COM stations.

takes usually around 3-4 mortars to knock-em down but usually theres tons of people camped up inside. my highest count was 6 in one building :)

just another technique for anyone interested!

Yeah I started out doing that, but found it annoying as hell sitting there waiting for mortar to recharge that many times for someone else to deal the final mortar blow and steal all my kills...

I needed a method that may be less efficient, but I found it more fun.

Gratz on the plat though - WP ;)

I think i may try this, sounds much fun!!
and a hell of a challenge

Assault Kit with Shotgun Extra Power, More Ammo, And C4
Should help me take down the building in 1 blow

Am sure you can carry like 6 C4 in one go! should be easy if so! haha bring on destruction!

been doing this alot recently but no luck on the kills.

It does work a treat for destroying the objective on Rush if its in one of those demolishable houses. Put C4 on the outside of the house, 4 corners and middle obviously works the best. Hope that there's a few guys in there defending it and blow it. I've been using the explosive mk2 to add to the destruction.

Sometimes it does take 2 attempts but if you're using the assault class you can always reload.

Another way i recently came across was to use the UAV on Nelson Bay.

Shadily take out the walls of the objective buildings when attacking. So theres only 1 wall left to take down.....wait till someone plants a charge.

Then when all the defenders pile in, Take it down!!!

Beat my Demoliton 2.0 record.......8 kills!!! Multiple Kill Bonus thankyou very much!! :)
