The PS3 has fog and dust making it look more realistic. The 360 does'nt, making it look sharper. But there's not a lot in it imho.
This for example:
Both are identicle, but the 360 is sharper, how ever, they are the same texture.
Like you said, what matters is that people play.
I think I've said it before, but there wont ever really be one overall winner with cross platform games.
1. Microsoft will probably NOT allow it.
2. There will probably be more development time to make on look better than the other.
