‘Heads-Up’ PlayStation Store Update (7th January 2010)
So, it’s my first post of 2010, bye bye 2009 it was fun. What were your highlights of the year we’ve just left by the wayside? What are your resolutions for the coming year (apart from playing lots of games of course)?
Personally, I thought 2009 was a pretty good year for gaming, but I think from many aspects a lot of what made 2009 good for me (apart from the games actually released) were the glimpses, and promises, of what’s to come this year. Even though I didn’t manage to get there myself, I felt that E3 really cranked up the expectations of what is to come in 2010…I feel it could be a vintage year for the gaming industry (though I reserve the right to renege on this assumption this time next year, if I’m wrong).
As for my resolutions this year, I’ll be striving to help continue improving the store and the offering we make available to you all (that actually goes without saying really), I’ll try and interact with you all more than I have been thus far, and my final resolution is to get more platinum trophies!
To help us improve, this week could you do me a kindness in the comments section and provide your feedback/thoughts/requests for the store, what you’d like to see etc. I’ll be collating as much of this as possible/relevant and will try to address as much as I can in the future.
As for the content this week, the full list is below, I won’t keep blathering away, and I’ll let you get on with checking the list.
Cheers!

Looks like there's some good content to come today.
Some things like Dark Void and Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond are being pushed hard.
We'll see soon enough if they are any good or not, both demo's are out today.
Special Offers:
* Topatoi (was – £7.99/€9.99 now – £3.19/€3.99)
* Rag Doll Kung Fu (was – £7.99/€9.99 now – £4.79/€5.99)

* PixelJunk Racers (was – £6.29/€7.99 now – £3.99/€4.99)
* Patapon 2 (PSP) (was – £19.99/€29.99 now – £14.99/€19.99)
* Daxter (PSP) (was – £14.99/€19.99 now – £7.99/€9.99)
* Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest (PSP) (was – £15.99/€19.99 now – £7.99/€9.99)

* Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (PSP) (was – £23.99/€29.99 now – £16.99/€20.99)
Rag Doll Kung Fu is a blast, but no online multiplayer, but it's great fun.
Savage moon, is a brilliant but savage game
PJ Racers, never got the demo working, so it does'nt look good for the full game.
I honestly dont know about the others but Patapon seems like a decent game, but too expensive for what it is.
Also, who buys the PS1 games? I bought a few, but man they look crap now. Nostalgia is best left for daydreaming and not replaying.

I've got Patapon 1 on UMD and it was £20 new - charging the same for DL games as disk it fucking retarded. That said, it is a fucking cool game though. Pata-pata-pata-pon lol. Yeah, I used to buy the PS1 games, but stopped that right quick. I've never tried, but they would probably look pretty good on the PSP. The trouble is - they're old. And games have evolved a lot recently. Stuff you take for granted now is sorely missed in these titles. Like telling you how to play the fucking game without reading a manual. Telling you what buttons do what on appropriate screens. And Command & Conquer has a fucking password save lmao - jeeee-sus christ.
Like Airwolf, Daz is right - best left as fond memories.

Haha noobs - they put out a demo, so got charged by Sony for shooting their own sales in the foot. I'm gonna have to play it just for LOLs... You gotta lpay turds now and then to appreciate the gems.
