i still experience the flashes and stuff but a guy on the hauppauge forum told me this =P i dont know if its true, but you have used this device for a time now so maybe you know if its true

It aint just you mate, the drivers and software are buggy! just goolge "hauppauge hd pvr flicker"

Uninstall drivers and software and go back to this earlier driver and software:

could well be,go into device manager and locate PVR, right click on it and uninstall.. But looking at my build of drivers and i have the latest one with no issues.. so i duno.. yur not on laptop are u? laptop power packs interfere with pvr sometimes when the laptop power pack is plugged in, but u need to pay attention to when the flickering occurs, is it before the recording, during the recording or when you have rendered a file?

i think everything is okay now =) recorded like 3-5 times now without experience those flashes =) and the quality is amazing before you upload it to youtube =P i dont really like the quality i get on youtube =( when you watch it on the computer the quality is amazing =/ i render it mp4 like you told me to =P

no idea but the quality is really good before i render it in vegas =P and after i rendred it to mp4 the quality is still really good when watching on my computer =P but when i upload it to youtube it gets worse =(

The video looked ok to me. A bit washed out maybe, but no jerkyness.

Increase the saturation and contrast slighty when capturing.

yeah im gonna try using some colour/brightness things in vegas =) yeah that map is kinda dark =( im gonna upload a clip so you can see how the quality is before i upload to youtube so you can judge if its okay and everything =P

This one look better imo but that map is brighter =P and i used wmv this time instead of mp4

The video will always look better before uploading to youtube. They have to compress it to 2mbits and less, to keep playback of HD content fairly smooth.
But it still looks lifeless.

i have figured it out, i recorded a video last night of gta, and i rendered using wmv at 30fps, the only thing i changed was the fps, usually i render them out at the 60fps that the source file is from the tv 720p 60fps.

but as i say i changed the fps at render to 30fps and got far less detail.

look at my latest vid, slightly pixelated, worser than my usual quality.

which i think again prooves sampling your video from the orginal fps makes things go wrong..you have to remember that youtube also samples your video once uploaded and converts it - which again effects quality.

btw spajah if u want to edit the colour balance i would suggest colour curves located in effects.. set it to something like this..



top is light colours, bottom is dark, just adjust to about this mark for a good saturation / contrast - alter to your taste

okay thanks =) but my computer isnt the best =P probably gonna take around 60 minutes or more to render a video with 60 fps thats 10 minutes long =( and upload to youtube 100kb/s when the files is kinda huge takes a while to =( hate that haha =D

*edit* here is the result with 60 fps without colour curves, i think its a little better?

*edit* but i think i have founded my quality now?

All the tracks listed are Vs and while it's good for the game play, its no good for freestyling or jammin.
