thatvideogameblog.com reports a rumor suggesting the vietnam war and/or other cold war conflicts may be the subject of the next call of duty game, a theory also supported by comments by activision's noah heller last year referring to world war 2 saying, "we're happy that we put the war to bed."

the rumor is a little sketchy, however, as it is based on their understanding that activision is looking to license music for the seventh call of duty game that includes "vietnam war era tunes, as well as cuban, african, and soviet union music."

they attribute this tidbit to a "source we consider reliable."

you mean 6th call of duty?

Well, if it was up to me I'd either go down the route of guerrilla warfare and go for Vietnam or some African territory, or try something new and go high tech and play on the moon or a spaceship.

OK, maybe the moon thing wouldn't work. But aren't you lot bored of seeing the same kind of thing with the COD series? - It looks so samey to me.

Nope. The sixth is Modern Warfare 2.

But who cares? The seventh will be by Treyarch who couldn't develop their way out of Rwanda...

I'll be glad to see the back of WW2 games, there's tons of 'em and most are better than Treyarch's latest effort.
MW2 is one i am looking forward too.

I really hope treyarch do not make another cod game.
