at least Halfords is doing alright.
http://www.halfordscompany.com/investor ... -statement
Only 2 market sections are down:
Travel Solutions and Car Enhancement.
Everything else is up overall, with car maintenance and auto-centres increasing massively.
So you're probably safe Gav.

halfords is quite an odd one, if they go under where the hell will people go to get minor jobs like bulb/battery/wiper changes done?
will they learn themselves? not fucking likely half the people who come to my branch hardly know how to use thier cars! i can see kwik fit and ATS loving it if halfords died. halfords is pretty unique. unless tesco start fitting bulbs i think we almost safe.
car enhancement though pffft anyone seriously considering modding their car wont buy from halfords its all tat.

Supermarket do sell some spares and bulbs, but not halogen bubls, there's just too large a variation.
I assume car stereo's are also part of enhancements.

fuck yeah, go on lad.
A granddad went to his local HMV store with a €40 voucher, and when staff refused the sale he just walked out without paying.

This is not a joke, apparently Game are looking to buy some HMV stores.
This is probably the silliest idea I've heard this year. When you're down and struggling to get up, you don't throw your arms about hoping to know your opponent down, you get up, take a breath, and try again.

Lot great story - good for him
Game would be fucking stupid to buy some of their stores...They only recently just shut down a lot of their own and must be on the verge themselves.

Looks like they are keeping all the main ones then (around here anyway), and just trimming the fat.
