It's the end of the world tomorrow!

Actually it's not, it's just the end of one very long calendar, does the world come to an end on December 31st every year? Nope you just put up another calendar.

What makes this one different is that it's shrouded in mystery and theory, the Mayans created a long count calender because they saw the world in ages and not just seasons, and people have put a lot of stock into what the Mayans call an age. We are currently in a 4th age according to this calendar. The three previous ages were failures by God to create a successful civilisation. All these ages seem to be approximate so it stands to reason the 4th is too. But will the world end of all is good in this age?
