The guy fails to mention Jerusalem, which is what I thought everyone wanted...? And it must be a pretty rich region for Israel to be able to hold off everyone.

If religion wasn't around it might not be a problem in the first place.

In reality though Israel needs to stop building and lift the blockade.

If Israel did that the Palestinians would enter Israel unchecked and probably suicide bomb the country into a hole so deep you'd see the Earth's core.
Why shouldn't Israel build? They need homes too.

btw Charlie, Israel isn't rich, America an the UK give them money to exist.

I would like to see a Palestinian view though.

Infact I'll go further this is a military power using lethal force against a largely civilian population and they hardly look like they're backing down considering they just called up 16,000 reservists.

The conflict is not because of thousands of years, it was only really and issue from world war 1 onwards.. and once again the british were to blame by dividing land up!

It was a problem with suez channel and trade routes and land owned by what they called Ottoman Empire and the navy, so britain eventually divided it up so they would fall and give us an edge.
Now a few years later... all these colonised lands are all fighting over the land and states they should own.

Israel was never one of these lands or terrotories...

The United States never declared war against the Ottoman Empire or never got involved, i know russia did a bit, uk and france.

But somewhere in there some palestenian lords sold land to the majority of jews, from under the palestinian feet and gained land illegally (well at least it would be illegal in our world).

So they all fight over this, which state should own which state, who owns what.. it's a mess.
I mean the modern isreal is only 60 odd years old...but of course the jewish people who have lived around that area or in the middle east go back 1000's of years, it's just how isreal became isreal is really the problem.

I don't think it will ever go away.. (war that is).
