Expand the iPad/iPhone/iPod by 32GB-500GB

Got an iDevice but want more storage space? Me too, even though I got a 32GB iPad, it's still not enough, I'm always trimming the fat to create more space.
If you find yourself doing exactly the same thing as me, then thanks to Kingston Technologies this problem can be made to go away.
Nope it's not a hardware hack or something that installs on the expansion port, it's a wifi enabled flash drive. It's a simple setup, turn it on, plug it into your PC, copy all the content you can, download the free app from the app store, connect the iDevice to the wireless network on the Wi-Drive.
You can then browse everything on there through the app.
Kingston Wi Drive

But Kingston are'nt the only ones with an eye to expanding the data of your iDevice, Hard Disk manufacturers Seagate have done the same thing but with an internal Hard Drive instead. This gives you a LOT more storage: 500GB
Now thats more like it!
It's pretty much the same procedure as the Kingston Wi-Drive, install to PC first, copy contents, connect iDevice Wi-Fi to the Seagate drive, download app, view on app.
Seagate GoFlex Satellite

now it's all good if you want the storage, but there are some pretty significant downsides.
Battery life of the storage devices is limited and it will run out eventually. The Wi-Drive will last longer than the GoFlex Satellite due to not having moving parts. (I have neither of them so I cant really make a comparison, I'm just using my common sense.)
Now for THE MAJOR drawback, once connected to the device via Wi-Fi, you are no longer connected to the internet via Wi-Fi. So if you have a device without 3G, no more facebook, twitter, myspace, or what ever social network you prefer. Which is a problem if you want to share any of the data you have on there.
Still, if you need the storage space and dont mind the inconvenience, they're pretty good devices to have.
Prices:
Wi-Drive 16GB: As little as £48.00 + VAT
Wi-Drive 32GB: from £119.00
Now for the Seagate GoFlex Satellite 500GB: From as little as £99.00
