Mass Effect 3 is out on The 3rd of March 2012 (just in time for my birthday yay!)

so i thought id start an official thread! why not? ME3 carries on the arcing story of the Mass Effect universe with Human commander shephard desperatly trying to give the galaxy a fightining chance at defending its self from the reapers, Eons old machines that cleanse the galaxy of all organic life whenever its civilisations peak, and that time is now.

ME3 will not just include Single Player RPG shooty fun but also an online co-op feature which will not direcetly affect the ending of the game but will help you reach it if you decide to take it.

first bit of good news is below from Bioware themselves!

Hello everyone! It's going to be a Happy New Year! Mass Effect 3 will have a pre-release demo in January 2012. This demo will have both single player and multiplayer sections, giving fans a taste of what's to come on March 6, 2012. Be first to the front lines in the multiplayer section of the Mass Effect 3 demo! Redemption of the Online Pass for Battlefield 3 will unlock this early access. But rallying for war is just getting started - in late November / early December, BioWare will announce other ways for fans to engage the enemy with their friends online from day one!

What are the details of the Mass Effect 3 pre-release demo?

•The Mass Effect 3 pre-release demo will launch in January 2012 (exact date TBA).
•The demo will include both single-player and multi-player sections.
•The demo will be released in all regions where the game is

How can I get early access to the multi-player portion of the Mass Effect 3 demo coming in January 2012?

•Owners of Battlefield 3, on any platform, who activate their Online Pass will automatically be granted early access to the multiplayer portion of the Mass Effect 3 demo. There is no need to enter any other codes, the early access will be applied to the EA Account associated with the Online Pass. Note: BF3 Origin Customers automatically have the BF3 Online Pass.
•This applies to all regions where the demo is released (to be announced)
•The exact date of the demo launch will be announced in late November
•There will be another program whereby players and fans of the Mass Effect franchise can unlock this early access (with no purchase necessary) – this will also be announced in late November or early December.
•There will also be a tool posted on http://www.masseffect.com allowing players to check if their EA account has been granted the early access.
•The length of the early access period is TBA.
•The single-player section of the demo will be available to all players on day one of the demo launch.

I would heartilly suggest you all have a play of ME2 on the PS3 it is the only part of the ME story that PS3 owners can play so far (me3 out in march) unfortunately Micro$haft own the rights to ME1 so unless you have a 360 or PC copy you cant play the first. HOWEVER it is not totally neccesary to have played it, neither me nor infinites did and we both got sucked in

i'd love you guys to squad up with us online for the coop missions

how can i best describe it? tactical squad shooting, a bit like SOCOM i suppose but with scifi elements, you can have various classes and decide how the battle goes down. i think squads maybe limited to 3 or 4 peeps for now, more concrete details are out there on teh webs

Everyone who likes sci-fi should play this game.

I'd say it's more open-universe-3rd-person-shooter than RPG...

well folks i just pre-ordered ME3 from shopto and i have discovered a bit of a problem with their website design.

i want to send the game to my mum so she can wrap it for my birthday (i know sounds daft but she loves doing it) and i cant change the address without changing my whole delievery address. every other place on the internets lets you do it why not shopto? ive logged a query with them about that

also if im lucky ill get a free N7 T-shirt that probably wont fit unless they send a Krogan sized version and a extra assault rifle DLC.

im not one for day one add on DLC it doesnt bother me so much i got by in ME2 with no extra weapons just fine. but its a bonus i suppose

Roll on March 6th!

You also have to be careful...if it think that's where your credit card is registered, the payment will be rejected. I've had that before from a different site (retards). Very annoying it was.
