first android app

I'll start by making something very simple, either something to collect data from here... like users online, or an app to see if the radio show is streaming.

Should in theory be simple as it's just http requests... but first I need to learn how to use the SDK.

Ah, is this what you meant? I thought you were talking about in that thread - not across the forum lol.

That sounds pretty complicated for a first app... I'd recommend the traditional "hello, world" app. That will teach you the bare minimum, i.e. how to create a project, edit code, build and run.

Yes I would agree on states,
Your starting project should be learning how to output words onto the display.
Then working a menu system an then learning the calling functions.

Hello world. Google it it's the starting project for any platform.

I would advise maybe a good text book to work from. There is alot of good tuts out on the net but personally nothing beats a good text book to work from

Http requests sound simple. But to do something like that Is a little complicated.
