How about that...

Basically with VM new policy your upload speed should be 1/10 of your download speed. I got this 30mb broadband with expectation of getting 3 mb upload (have 1 at the moment) that was like in spring. They had this schedule planner for which area gets upgrade when. Now most areas with exception of a few are all upgraded, that is what they said by the end of summer. Mine is planned for Mar-12, WTF? I wonder if I can do anything about it.

Fucking pissed off because I was mislead by their information updates. If I call and talk to them you think I might at least get some discount?

Got £30 off thats all. The reason? Not enough customers in my area so they pushed it back. BTW Sy talked to this guy about virgin and speeds, he said they can roll 200mb if they want even now and had a successful trial of 2Gig already in London. I told him about your 50Mb problem, remember? He said about 6 months back the demand for 50Mb in your area like tripled very quickly and they couldn't cope this fast. Now he says it has been sorted.

yeah well that head engineer guy said pretty much similar - saying that they had to update the head servers to handle more connections.. his example was:

if stafford has 1000 50mb connections and 1001 customers have a service, 1 person gets kicked off the network or reduced speeds.. so it sounds about right.

They trialed 100mb here too for a bit, so yeah... mind u what would you use 200mb line speed on though? not much lol
