Astro mentioned this yesterday and got me wondering when my exchange might be upgraded... and it's due before Christmas.

50mbit down (roughly 4.2mbytes given my current speed)
But I dont know what the upload speed would be.

but whats worse is that I downloaded a torrent the other day, and got the file at 1.8mbytes per second from one user - in an eastern european country - Hungary FFS.
And no it was definitely an ISP user IP and not a hacked server or seedbox.

I mean What the fuck? How can Russia, East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Lithuania and other poor and Eastern European countries have faster upload and download than the UK?

Well, i doubt anyone using a bt line will ever get anymore than 2mb up.
As for virgin, they are already giving some areas 10mb up - i currently get 3mb up on 30meg package.

well as usual measured in mbps... lol?

if someone says they have 30meg download they mean mbps.
my upload is borked right now though (they are coming to look at it) between 6-10pm i only get 0.77mbps!
