explain that to the pope.
i asked my relgious teacher years ago a similar question (i got suspended for a week) when i was at school.

She was talking about god and jesus (who don't exist by the way) - anyways..

I said if adam and eve were the first 2 on earth, any children they had must of had sex with each other, so really we are all incest generations..
It didn't go down very well.

I think this video just shows with the same question, that most of relgion is just something made up

Faith isn't about facts, it's about faith. It's about believing in something bigger than yourself.

I was born, raised, and schooled as a Catholic, yet I don't believe in God as I was told too, I'm much more spiritual and less dogmatic.

I am a believer - there I'm out of the closet!

I might even tell you all how I got back to my faith after 25+years of not following.

I even used to be an alter boy!...

i have no problem with people having a faith, but i have a problem with blind faith and those who use religion as an excuse to be shitty to one another, personally i cant reconcile things like the bible with science, evolution, astronomy etc

the origin of the universe makes more sense to me than a few days hard graft by a sky pixie

I cant stand people who ram religion down others throats either.

But I can tell you that there are a large number of people in America who believe in God and the apolcalypse, and are actively seeking ways to bring the apocalypse closer by causing the world to HATE Isreal.

Some people actually want armageddon...

I see faith in "something higher" as simply an extension of man's need for hierarchy through alpha males or females. Where do you go after the top of the physical hierarchy (e.g. prime minister, king, president, general or whatever)? You extend it into the abstract and create a god, or gods, or nature or something else intangible and infallible. And once people subscribe to a religion, it can be used as a control mechanism to assert the hierarchy.

But it's human nature to rally a tribe under a banner and war with other tribes of different banners. Whether that banner is nation, religion, race, football team or console choice it doesn't matter. It's all the same retarded behaviour. :ymdaydream:

A lot of religions have some good ideas, but the ideas are independent of the religions and can be adopted individually without subscribing to the religion itself.
