Just incase you are not sure what one is...
A phrase or opinion that is overused and betrays/lacks orginality of the meaning.
A very predictable or unoriginal thing or person, it's so overused that in todays world it's common, but cheesy or you could say some are "stereotypical".
examples:
what goes around comes around
At the end of the day
it is what it is...
You can list 2 per post, you must wait for someone else to reply to list your next ones.
List your cliche phrase and then the meaning or how it might be used, use my formula below.
Excluding the samples above here are my 2.
1. The fact of the matter is (It is usually just opinion, not fact eg: the fact of the matter is the game is ok, but needs work)
2. To be fair (since straight after you might say somebody sucks eg: to be fair your video is alright but you fucking suck)

It's not really a phrase, but a pet hate of mine is when people say every statement like a question. Gets right up my nose.
I'm actually really struggling to think of cliches (CBA to find an accented e

).
Actually the thing that's crap at the moment is the trend of saying <adjective><noun> is <adjective>. Fucking retarded.
e.g.
Shit game is shit.

LOL I don't know if this is common up north, but down here you get a lot of people that append...
...I'm not even lying.
...absolute truth.
Implying that normally they talk shit, and this time there's a slim chance they're not. However, if they add this to a statement it generally means it's bullshit.

haha states..yeah very overused lol, and i would call that a cliche because they are not really meaning what they say, unoriginal lol.
touching on the same concept of that states..
to be honest....which means.. they are normally dishonest? - i think we all use this at some point, but my god what cliche LOL!

My "favourite" permutation is:
...not a word of a lie (= bullshit, blatantly)

No offence
- as in; just about to insult something or someone, regardless.
(so it becomes offensive anyway)

Went the doctors today for a check up and basically he said an awful lot of cliches, infact i started laughing at a few.. heres some that he used alot:
going forward
moving forward
as in now this is sorted, moving forward. (you can't move backwards as in backwards in time, only forward anyway)
He also came out with "
in the pipeline" well.. yeah that never ending one?
and
"
address the issue" at a later date... yet.. you need to talk about the issue to address it...
i had to explain why i was laughing.. he then said "
i know what you mean" which is a bit cliche too, because - well he doesn't know what i mean or what it means
