Home Network Upgrade

So I'm considering upgrading my home network this summer to provide dual band wireless N to future proof it and drag it out of the wireless G gutter and support future/current devices (Vita, current laptop) and provide better bandwidth/coverage.
Considering how long the IEEE take to ratify new wireless standards I reckon I'm safe.
Anyway I'm considering these pieces of kits some input would be nice also the NIC is optional as my Desktop will be hard wired but the NIC was so cheap I thought Why not upgrade the original NIC that was on the motherboard.
