On June 30, Sony is releasing a Wireless Keyboard for the PS3. The keyboard has a PS Button, which can be used to power on and power off the PS3, just like the Dual Shock 3.

Like old Think Pads, the keyboard has a nub in the middle that can be used to control the pointer for web browsing. It's outfitted with Bluetooth, so it can be paired with other devices.

The Wireless Keyboard is priced at ¥5,000 (US$62) (£40)

It looks nice, but I've never liked the "nipple" and I hate the trackpad, so for a mouse, I'd have to go with USB.
And the price is way over the top just to have a PS button.
I actually think it's just a combination of buttons, like the windows key is CRTL+ESC. It's finding the right combination to turn a PS3 on and off with any regular keyboard.

Now if they added keyboard and mouse support in games... would you go for it?

LOL £40? They can fuck right off. That's obviously priced by someone who doesn't have to buy petrol or food in the UK.

There's little doubt the Japanese will buy them in their thousands if not millions, but what use it it if all it does is help web browsing and texting?

I have a normal USB wireless keyboard. It works fine. And it was about a tenner.
